Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is hopeful of tying up a deal for Aston Villa's Scott Sinclair before Thursday's midnight deadline, but Villa are demanding £6m for the former Manchester City man. (Daily Mail)

Before an actual left winger with pace and the ability to score? Nope.

According to the record another bid of 2.75m rejected, can't see this happening villas valuation of him is way off the mark

We should move on,Villa would probably have to spend 6 mil to replace him, going by English market,so they aren't going to accept our low offers

I'm starting to really hate these Villa *, just who the * do they think they are?

Relegated last year with one of the most inept, spineless teams ever witnessed in EPL history, players bragging about getting their fancy cars on Twitter (Lescott) after just turning in totally appalling performances time and again.

They should be grateful we're trying to take some of these 'failures' off their hands. He is now a Championship player and has less value than if he was an EPL player, we're offering Villa MORE than what they paid to get him from Man City. This is why I hate dealing with English clubs feeling they are superior and all high and mighty over rating and over valuing their BANG AVERAGE players most of the time.

If they want to keep an unhappy player who clearly wants to leave (Reports he wants to work with Brendan again) then * them. *!

P.S It seems they are also forgetting a time when we were very easy to deal with in regards to them, pretty sure we gave them Agathe, Petrov, Maloney when M'ON went there. Makes my blood boil.

I do think Sinclair would be a good addition but wouldn't be paying anything north of £3 million. If they're not willing to drop their valuation lets move on and stop wasting time!

That's utter nonsense. It is absolutely their prerogative to name their price for their players and it is then up to us to match that valuation. From what I can see they have quoted us £3.75m and we are continuing to offer below that, so not like they are messing us around.

It is no different to how we negotiate when we are selling our players, Biton as an example.

6 mill is way too much. He's not worth that..

3 mill with some add ons is fair in my opinion..

They want at least £6M I've read. Where you seeing the valuation of £3.75M from?

Offer £2.5m, a friendly next summer and a gentleman's agreement that they can get first refusal on our next Wanyama.
