i seriously think as a club, weve got to consider a lot of players futures at the club come the summer, players like hesselink ..... donatti ........ sno... naka.... naylor.... caldwell... aye n even mcmanus .... these players ....... ask yourself are they TRULY celtic class ? big hesselink .... stumbles more than anything n hes not wat we really need is he .... we need players upfront like wee mcdonald who given a sniff will rattle a ball into the net , samaras will get there dont worry, donatti hes a deffo no no after a good couple of games at start of season and then all this crap about him wanting to return to italy ..... let him go ........ naylor ...aye he dun us a turn in his first season, but since then wat ? crap crossing ..... lack of composure at the back ? decent enuff wee player but again is he celtic class ? naka ? great wee tactician, brilliant at set pieces, but is his overall contribution to our midfield enuff ? i seriously dont think so, is he the type who will roll his sleeves up for us wen the our backs are to the wall, gimme good dosh for him n he can go anytime, as for big sno ...... just wat defence can u put up for him, sorry mate ur times up here, caldwell.... made some howlers eh, again not celtic class, now for the controversial one big mcmanus, ok hes a celtic man, came thru our ranks, but in my opinion not celtic class either as captain or centre half.... hes eratic....hes only one footed(left) cant PLAY a ball out of defence, and cant tackle with his rite foot, fed up watching him boot, or head the ball out of defence right to an opposing player, iv heard all this mince about its because hes playing alongside caldwell, go on ask urself and be entirely truthfull, ARE U ENTIRELY CONFIDENT IN BIG MCMANUS ? can he marshall a defence ? can he motivate a team when the heads are down ? can he dominate his penalty box ? Our defence is poor ..... we need big ball playing bullies who can play football ..... clear our lines ....... scare punters like boyd , cousan, ........ wee oneil had the right idea with people like big mjallby, bobo, big joos, ....... im not saying they were perfect but gimme that type of central partnership anyday to wat we have just now ..... think how many time boruc has saved us ... i know its his job .... but think how secure wed be with a solid central defensive partnership, now onto our midfield ........ hate to say it ...... and i detest the guy as a person..... we need a digger .... we need a wee barry armband type in our midfield, we need someone who can take a game by the scruff of the neck, and motivate the rest of the midfield, a player who can inspire the full team........ a roy keane type ....... lets concentrate on our defence and a good solid midfield general, who can dictate a game, with grit and determination......... lets build in these areas first, so we can keep out europes best strikers, and get our celtic team on the same level as the best set of supporters in the world

have u seen a scotland game recently? doubt it. agree with needing a half decent cb though. as for naylor name a better lb in recent times. last one half as good was mckinlay. as for midfield general i agree a new lambert would be perfect. as iv said before i would even take mcnamara back and play him there in europe because he would die for this club, can pass the ball, can definatley tackle, is quick and is a good motivator. i doubt we will ever find someone as good as lambert however simply because he was a european cup winning scotsman.

I Wouldnt Want To See Little Paul Hartley Go As He Is One Of The Few Hoo Plays For The Shirt An Not The Money ..! Cant See Harry Kewell Coming To Paradise Either As He Is Still In The Plans At Anfield Just Always Out Injured ..! Why Do We Always Settle For Players Which ARe Cumin To The End Of There Careers In The EPL ..? Go For Theo Walcott On Loan For A Season IMO ..! And We All Know That Boruc Is Goin To Leave Soon So We Have A Lot Of Money There To Spend But A Lot Of Adjustments We Need To Make To The Team Att The Back An A Decent Stricker An Defender ..!

    what would i do?
    i'd listen to offers for
    deek
    killen
    graveson
jvoh- only if the offers good
nakamura- only if the offers good
    caldwell
    naylor
    doumbe
but ofcourse offers have to even come in frist, so basically i'd wait.
and i'd look across the scouting that has been done and pick players that would fit into the squad nicely.

oops. i know i was ment to in this thread was ment to be "i'd sign keane dunne bellamy and anyone else thats claimed a liking for celtic over the years" but fact is celtic go for damaged goods as its all we can afford. damaged goods or lower league players like boruc
you'll not see an infulx of big names ever come to celtic.

I'd go for Steven Fletcher, Mendy (LB), Samaras permanently, a quality CB (£4M+) and a 'keeper (any of the ones we're linked with). I'd give Killen, Donati, Naka and Gravesen the dunt. I would've liked to have seen what Gravesen could do if he were to play this season, but the wages he's on are too much of a gamble. We have far too many midfielders. Naka's looking naka'd (sorry) and we should try and cash in while we can. Celtic need to toughen up a bit in the middle. Brown needs to understand that flying wildly into tackles is not brave, but wreckless. He needs a disciplined holding midfielder next to him, who'll win the ball back if they lose it. I wouldn't mind seeing Robson in next to him, Hartley sitting just between them and a three man defence, McGeady and Mizuno (assuming he's good) on the wings, quality LB, CB and Hinkel at the back and Fletcher and McDonald/Hutchinson/Samaras up front. Wishful thinking...

If I was manager the following would go:

    Evander Sno
    Massimo Donati
    Mark Brown
    Gary Caldwell
    Lee Naylor
    Chris Killen
    Thomas Gravesen
    Steven Pressley

They are all not good enough. Naylor was good in his first season but has lost heart IMO.

If I had an open checkbook I would bring in Richard Dunne, Robbie Keane, Damien Duff and a few others:50:

I agree with some of the outs's

I would like to see killen and sno go out, loan of transfer, do not care.

I have a horrible feeling that we will loose Boruc, naka or mcgeady, although I hope not, I couldn't give a toss about the money, I think investment is what is required next season.
If we come back good next season then maybe the board can offload one.

I would also love to see some of the younger boys get a chance, but if we can not go a few goals up against teams like gretna to get a chance to bring them on for 15-20 mins what can you do.

    Richard Dunne -Man City
    Mark Noble - West Ham
Anthony Stokes / Kenwyn Jones - Sunderland
    Stephen Fletcher - Hibs
All names i think would be great signings for us. would love to see Petrov and Maloney back but cnt see it happening!
As for outs- Calamity Caldwell must be 1st to go
    bobo
    mark brown
    riordan
they have no place in a team like celtic

Chelsea, Pompey, Man City and Arsenal are going for him...He's got a 6-mill price-tag...He's only scored 7 goals this season...
