Sutton is truly excellent. You could hear in his voice last night how much he wanted Celtic to go through. He also is fair in his assessment of incidents etc. We didn't really want an antithesis to the run of hunophantic liars with a Celtic bias; we wanted a fair minded commentator. We now have one - Chris Sutton.

I think that he is a very very important, in fact crucial, element in the TV coverage of games. I also think that he is more or less right about Craig Gordon, and was correct about Ronny. He seems to have a pretty good idea of what a player good enough for Celtic looks like.

I'd love to have a few jars with the big man. Absolute hero for me, my second favourite player after Henrik.

Aye, it would be better if Ronny was still in the job.

He has every right to say 'I told you so'. The fact that there are still teary eyed muppets on here bubbling on about Ronny is part of Celtic's problem. This kind of weak minded, touchy feely * has no place in a football team. If you're not good enough, you're out. Sutton called it right, and he did so early on.

I love the way he just says 'Ronny was a dud'. Call a * spade a spade for * sake.

I don't think many people are denying that Sutton was right. We just think his constant slagging of Ronny is unnecessary.

He has wee digs at him all the time. Get * over it Sutton he left a few months ago.

Sutton took dogs abuse from Celtic fans for his criticism of Deila. Now these fans are entitled to say they are backing the manager, even if it was misguided. Sutton was also entitled to call it like he saw it and even Ronnys biggest defenders must admit he was right.

We need ex players who will criticise the club when its right to do so. Or do we want mouthpieces like Gough, Ferguson etc who say nothing critical about Deadco? To the extent it has there fans frothing at the mouth and thinking everything is sweet without being informed of the consequences (death).

Sutton is also a gent. Met him twice at the ground and he happily chats and poses for pictures. Decent guy and was a * machine on the park

I've been watching us this season thinking this is what we've been missing the last couple of seasons, it's a very pertinent point when assessing the new manager.

Sutton is a * at times and if he hadnt played for us he wouldnt be very well liked on here, but he is sort of our * so it can be funny at times....but the ronny digs have to end....yes he was poor but he atleast got us two leagues and its time to move on.
still like ronny and hate the way suddenly all those players have found form.....no team should be allowed to get away with downing tools like that.

Big deal. Sutton was right, you were wrong. He's also right about Gordon BTW. Chris Sutton obviously wants Celtic to do well more than he cares about teary eyed no marks like you.

    :31: sigh!

try reading what i wrote again, especially the bit

''I KNOW HE WAS RIGHT'' like most of the punters on here it's just that we're not shouting about it from the * rooftops, unklike some.

By the by, Gordon's also a matter of opinion. I'm not saying he's being faultless but i think my confidence would be shagged after 2 years of that keystone cops defending in front of him. * me man, i'm sticking a coffee on...you wanna come round and smell it!!

Hahaha. Ok, bud, but in playground parlance: you started it. Am currently listening to the bold Chris commenting on Sevco. I think having an objective analysis on TV is a great thing, and every single ex Celt on these shows has been a media biased Sevco *, therefore I am backing Sutton a little uncritically.
