Allegedly enrolled as a mason in 1977 in Garrowhill. He also allegedly got his gun license in 1977. This gun license was reportedly signed off by Lord Robertson but these claims were later said to be false.

Robert Bell, chairman of the tories in his area, sold him the guns -

Something very dodgy with the whole thing. The Cullen Inquiry was put under lock and key for 100 years though some edited version was released at the request of some of the victims' families.

    * Bless those poor souls.

I moved there in 2012 as a gap student, so I really didn't know much about it before hand, but it's incredibly surreal to see just how much this still haunts the town. What a awful tragedy

I think I already know the answer, but why would they not release information to the families for at least 100 years?

What happened 20 years ago was terrible, the people who were caught up in it went through a * that i find virtually impossible to take in,even today it does not seem real, terrible!

As with all of these types of things it's disturbing. Not just the event itself, but the lead up to it, the history of the perpetrator etc

I didn't realise until recently that he left the hall after the initial attack and fired some shots into another classroom from outside thankfully not hitting anyone, then went back in to the hall and started executing the kids who were on the floor wounded.
Could have been so much worse and while its of no comfort to the families of the dead he had over 400 rounds of ammunition on him.
The whole thing lasted 16minutes before he killed himself.

Probably because the very people who done the Public Inquiry are the very people who had received dozens of complaints about Hamiltons behaviour towards young boys.
He was banned from the Scouts yet he still managed to set up boys clubs and even the local MP complained to the police as his son went to one of his clubs!

Always wanted to go to the memorial garden just to put down a wee bunch of flowers . But even 20 years on it still doesn't feel right . Kind of an intrusion on the families privacy . Probably never will . R.I.P :54:

Seen a bit on the news with people talking about personal experiences, don't think I could watch the documentary tbh.

Stomach wrenching thinking about the horror that was witnessed.

Thomas Hamilton was a Jimmy Saville type procurer of children for certain members of the Scottish elite, he was a known paedophile before this tragic event and has been said already was a mason who in effect was being used by people further up the chain.

In the months leading up to Dunblane numerous well known members of the Scottish establishment were seen at this school at strange times of the night, something which has never been explained or even addressed by the mainstream media.

Several people have written books about this case and how the truth of it has never been told for the fear of opening up a huge can of worms

Was watching videos about this today. Some woman on one claiming he pulled a gun on her pal. The amount of times he must have been brought to the polis attention and nothing ever happened. Could so easily have been prevented.

Just by looking at his picture (that's one ugly * right there), you can tell this is a likely case of incel-rage, as mass shootings tend to be. Politics has very little to do with it.

    Henrik Larsson (obvious choice ehh?)

Senna said that the local MP complained to the police about him, surely he would be part of the 'establishment' no?

Still fishy why it's 100 years until we have the documents released.

What gives them the right to hold information back for 100 years ? Why isnt everyone kicking up * and demanding we see what they are hiding. Thats me just found this out after reading this and its disgusting to think they are holding vital info back from the families
