Last season/This season

Ok I know it's our style of play, lack of passion no leaders in the team the list is endless.... Now here is a picture of where we are this season compared to last! We have scored more goals and that's the only positive compared to the season before! Only 4 points ahead instead of six and have more goals against us

Last season IMO we where robbed out of a treble so what's so different compared to last season? Ok we are out a cup is it just about our play that people are * off a or does everybody think it's the result and play because by the stats we have had a similar season to last and everybody wasn't shouting to sack the manager

Why ignore the shambles in europe

 

I'm talking about domestic though.. I'm just saying the stats don't lie! I'm not sticking up for the team because one game we are performing looking good lots of positives and then next we are playing like we did v Hamilton or the worst I've seen in years if not all together in my
Life following Celtic against Dundee! So is it our style of play or that and results because as I said its not much different to last season

Knew there wasn't much difference points wise, but this season seems so much worse somehow. Think it's because last season was Ronny's first so we expected some slip ups, but it's got worse in every way not better. Europe has been a disaster especially. Over two years the amount of bad results we've had is totally unacceptable

I'm only saying because it will no doubt have an impact on people's opinion

 

I don't disagree it feels * and it doesn't seem to me it's going to get any better "I hope it does" but other than a last 32 in Europe There's not much difference so why do we feel we are in a crisis other than performances

 

Care to explain more ? As I said only looking for opinions o found it interesting when I seen the stats that the two seasons are very similar other than us reaching the last 32 and you switch both cups

Yes europe has been disappointing, but the league is comparable to last season.

 

Not sure if your taking the * mate ? But as I said it does feel bad but as it shows it's not as bad as it feels ... Just because there is a * feeling around the place and the fans split in opinions about the gaffer and players etc and performances don't help

What did we finish ahead of them last season was it 15

 

I think most of the malaise comes from the european hangover. It was a very bad set of results.
overall in the league the team are taking care of business. the figures are similar to last year.
i dont understand why we are expected to just turn up and roll teams over. Of course smaller clubs and teams are going to give us a game.

 

Ignoring European competition pretty much makes these threads pointless. It is where our team is assessed and our manager earns his stripes in the absence of any realistic domestic competition.

 

yes but the results in europe are affecting people's judgement on the league, and now people are looking for reasons to HATE on him.

I agree we should have done better in europe, and its our future and that is why it is so annoying that the campaign was so flat.

 

The results in Europe aren't affecting people's opinion on the league campaign, they are helping formulate people's opinions on deila as a manager, as they should be.

Besides, comparing Ronny Deila's performances this season with Ronny Deila's performance last season in an effort to suggest this seasons domestic campaign is acceptable and deila is doing okay doesn't stack up logically. he was given a lot of leeway last season because he was just in the door and there were signs of progression. He can't fall back on either of those points anymore.

 

teams are not built in one season or even two seasons. Last season he was just in the door and had to start the rebuild and see what players could play, this season is more building, and realistically next season should be the time when he has a settled team and NO first team players sold in the summer.

The difference for me, with regards the league, is that last season we started slowly then gradually got better and ended up running away with it.
This year we seem to be getting worse and worse as the year goes on.

 

We were prepared to back the manager and gloss over things . Your whole argument is daft. Unfortunately there has been no improvement, if anything we are moving backwards. The argument that we are the same as last season is stupid. What progress have we made?
