We rely on ticket money though its near half of our total income.

If we did cut prices then think of the * we'd be watching then.... i'd rather pay £500 for the type of squad that we can afford now than £300 for a squad not as good as the current one.

I agree but the current prices should not be increased they should be frozen. There will be an increase in demand next season by at least 5/6000 season tickets. Extra income can be obtained by an increase in demand rather than an increase in prices.

I wonder if it ever crossed the board's mind that it is better for revenue if there is a very close competition with Sevco next year. Even if they lost the league this year it would make it even better for revenue. Everyone is a winner!

    ^^^^^^^

I dunno man. I'm beginning to wonder how much worse our squad could actually get if there was a reduction in ticket prices. If ticket prices came down you'd probably get more folk turning up which would offset the losses to some degree.

It already went back up by £50 this season, it'll probably go up £50 next season again as most people would have forgot/not noticed they went up £50 this season :smiley-laughing002:

Mine was £551, went to £451 and went back to £501 in the summer.

We actually only got cheaper season tickets for 2 seasons.

This is my season ticket for as far back as I can look it up online...

    2011/12 - £533
    2012/13 - £551 (actually went up £18 the first hunless season :56:)
    2013/14 - £451
    2014/15 - £451
    2015/16 - £501

If I phone the ticket office will they post me out normal tickets instead?

    Prices are shocking, I agree.

It's being noted in England but I doubt any action on it will find it's way north. As our prices are still lower than most EPL clubs, we can play the whole "it's still affordable compared to prices south of the border" card.

If dropping prices isn't realistic or sustainable then there are other ways that fans can be rewarded (free/discounted merchandise, entry to one-off organised events e.g. training sessions at CP, discounts elsewhere, Celtic TV etc.) and I really wish clubs would look into it.

Having to travel from London, I can sympathise, Marky.

I'm not going back until Ronny goes. Cretin.

I wont be back until something changes, hoping that deila and the rest of the managerial dream team go but also live in hope of a board shake up.
Until that happens i wont be back.

Good. Anyone who refers to our manager as a cretin won't be missed.

Exactly. I'm not his biggest fan, but so long as his name is on the managers door he deserves a certain level of respect.

It's childish. I know but it's my hard earned money, of which I have little. I spend it on trips to see celtic.

I have no respect for Deila whatsoever. If I was as inept as he was I'd have gone long ago. Maybe it's not his fault and I should be blaming people who hired him but my anger is definitely focused on him as he is the one who is completely useless. When I work with people who are stealing a living while I'm grafting, I get * off. No wonder the team has little guts under this clueless man.

Regular seats for this game are at 29 pound. 34 pound are for the padded seats (but granted, the padded seats are the only good seats left where you can find two adjacent seats).

Thing that gets me about this... they do what they like because we fans feel we've no choice. but they thought the same when they were gonna shoehorn sevco into the premier. If we organise across all clubs to boycott season tickets at the start of the season for the same reason we could make those running the game * themselves again...

We fans have far more power and influence than we realise if we would just learn to direct it properly. Maybe if we pushed for the creation/recognition of a multi-team fans council that was independent of the SFA/SPFL but they were forced (by the fans) to answer to we could change such things...

We as a fanbase should be standing against it. A call has been suggested to stand against Kilmarnock charging us more. But i can't see it changing anything.

The club itself should have issued a statement saying that targeting our support alone was unacceptable, and that THEY recommend we do not partake. That would've been a death blow to this kind of * right there. but truth is, they want the ability to jack up the prices when it suits us too, so club said nothing other than 'not our fault'...
