We've really had very few muscular injuries lately. There's Boyata's hamstring tear that I can remember, but that's about it. Everything else has been either bones or ligaments.

Aye, in recent years, pre-Ronny, we were a health hazard to hamstrings. It's always something I've been concerned with. It has got well better under Ronny though.

That's the sort of next level stuff he's trying to implement slowly but surely here.

The accumulation of millimetres which make the difference at the end of the race, like the British Cycling team that went from also rans to the World elite by making a thousand subtle differences which when they come together give athletes a competitive edge.

I still think football lags a bit behind with that stuff, on the face of it anyway. It's only really the massive Clubs that have all this proper athletic preparation behind the scenes.

DRAMMEN: Last year, the Strømsgodset striker David Nielsen claimed that the club has Europe's best medical staff.

It is nothing less than a dramatic vote of confidence for Bård Ove and Grete Mellingen Homstøl, which are respectively an assistant coach / medical coordinator and resource trainer / physiotherapist in SIF.

But the upright Nielsen is not alone in hailing the couple. An increasing number has noted the expertise the two possess. Both at home and abroad. Just listen:

    Sought

    * Under SIFS stay at La Manga Bard and Gretel got invited to Real Madrid. In Madrid they exchanged ideas and experience with the medical device to the Spanish giant. Real's A-team physiotherapist Fernando Reyes made it clear that he will visit Strømsgodset to look into the couple's work here in Drammen.

    * In April last year Grete Mellingen Homstøl held a two-day course for Liverpool. Themes: Loss prevention, treatment and performance enhancing training in football.

    * The couple also exchange ideas and experiences with medical personnel in clubs like Valencia, Blackburn and Real Mallorca.

    * Chelsea have become interested in SIFS diet program and has already taken a visit to Drammen. The two clubs will continue to exchange experiences in this area.

    * The couple is invited to hold two different courses on performance-enhancing training and medical topics relating to the football World Cup in South Africa next year.

    - We've got a foot in international football. It is a catalyst that is very useful, and that SIF hopefully get something in return, says Bård Homstøl.

    treats stars

But it's not just the big clubs who will draw on SIFS "miracle doctors". More and more players are taking contact. Bard and Gretel would not comment on individual players because of confidentiality.

    - But we can confirm that we look at national and international top players, says Grete Mellingen Homstøl.

    Yeah.

Said it for ages, if Ronny wants this formation and style of play to work, Commons shouldn't start. Too immobile and lazy.

For quite a while he's been the sort of player who does * all for 90% of the game then pops up with a goal. He'd be a great impact player.

I see The Hun and The Daily * are running back page stories that Forrest and Izaguirre are off on the summer.

Two good ones to get off the wage bill imo.

Think it'd be daft to get rid of Izzy. He's not on massive wages, has proven himself capable and occasionally brilliant. Tierney is only 18, he'll hit a few bumps in the road, despite how remarkable he is doing.

2 good players for a position, I'm happy with that.

Izzy won't be hanging about if he can't get into squads when he's fully fit unfortunately.

Possibly not but he has said a few times he'd love to finish his career here.

First time he's suffered any difficulty at Celtic, if he wants to prove himself now is the time. He doesn't strike me as somebody who will go into a huff and disrupt the dressing room otherwise and we wouldn't get massive money for him either.

It would be incredibly silly to sell Izaguirre. With Tierney making an impact, we have now finally got two capable left backs. Selling Izaguirre would leave us in the same boat as before.

He said he wanted to finish his career at Celtic when he was first choice with no prospect of that changing.

He's now 2nd choice to an 18 year old with no prospect of that changing and no spot on the bench either.

It wouldn't be Celtic's decision to make. If he isn't in squads he won't hang about.

Yip, meaningless if he asks to leave to get playing time though.

We're not and never have been in the business of keeping International footballers in the stand when all they want to do is play.

Ones that won't kick up a fuss, offer good cover, who we would get * all money for anyway we should.

But you're missing the point, kicking up a fuss is exactly what he'll be doing if he isn't even on the bench :56:

Can't see him causing too much problems, don't think he'd be the type to start getting in fights with * in the dressing room because he's sulking about. Doesn't seem to be his character for me.

He wouldn't have to fight with anyone, all he'd have to do is chap Deila's door.

Which he 100% would if he can't get any game time. And that's how it's looking just now.

I think we'll see a left back come in on loan then..

He'll want away after what's happened. As will quite a few other's..

We're seeing ex regulars who can't get a look in, and JC has confirmed player's will go. Supporter's are gonna have to come to term's with player's they held in some regard, are gonna be moved on as we move forward..

    Big changes ahead, and needed..
