We all know what you mean mate, but in the whole of 2 years he's packing a 66% win ratio. Draws and defeats even at 17%. This includes our European campaigns. He won a double in his first season and has a good chance of repeating it. Its difficult to justify sacking anyone that's backed up by those stats. People say he's not successful, but the numbers say otherwise.

Let's face we're on the slide as far as our European standing is concerned, we're in that position because too many of the board and especially our major shareholder are not prepared to seriously invest in the team.

We are now seen as a Selling Club by the EPL and their Championship Leagues, so they expect to be able to buy any Celtic player they want, so how can we as supporters hope to have a settled team to build on if this is allowed to continue.

I do think our current manager and management team are not good enough, they lack sound tactics, poor team selection and lack the ability to go to Plan B & C , in short they make playing against Celtic too predictable.

So my conclusion is that it will be more of the same for the next ten years, dominating Scottish football, but sliding further away from the CL Groups unless we get new directors and new investment at the top.

  4. Personally as great a guy Kennedy is, I would prefer him and Collins out before Ronnie.

I think Ronnie could benefit with having a better coaching team for a start.

Regardless if ronny is here or not we will always be chasing our *.
Since we have become a selling club...(more than we used to) we will always be trying to fill the gap left by someone just sold.
This is why its more important than ever we try and find more lads like TK who as a fan is more likely to stay longer than some kid we sign from europe.

Stats don't tell the whole story though.

How many of that % have we been slapped about silly by, going out with a whimper, only for the same scenario to happen again?

The worrying part being every team other than Inter, Salzburg, Ajax & Fenerbahce we should rightfully be expecting to beat.

If you've been watching Celtic through your own eyes and not through the lense of statistical analysis, then you should have seen sufficient evidence to tell you Deila is not the future.

If poor means winning the league regularly and hopefully a few cups as well as European football in some form, then I'll take that.

With poor football and constantly missing out on your biggest objective of the season? I wouldn't, I don't think that's good enough in the current climate at all.

If we have this season, for the next 3 seasons, I'd be gutted. Imagine not winning in Europe for that length of time?

I never said we'd constantly lose out on Champions League football though, did I? I imagine that there's a good chance we'll make it next season depending on the draw and how settled our side is going into the games.

I don't hold our entire season on those six games though, especially when the financial benefits very rarely equate to improvements on the field of play. If I was a shareholder I'd maybe be more concerned, but as things stand I'm happy enough with Europa League football as well.

There are big teams in the group stages of that competition too.

So your entire expectations for the season rest on us getting six games in the Champions League?

No, getting European Football after Christmas. Unless we get a Group of Death.

Domestic front is the League title at least with the Scottish cup.

So you'd be relatively happy with a good Europa League cup run like we had last season?

Last 32? More like Last 16/quarters but we got Inter. As long as we get Europe after Christmas.

As much as I admire your optimism, what exactly are you basing that on? We've had a relatively favourable draw in the last seasons - not to mention a 2nd chance v Maribor - and not managed it.

Then that wouldn't be us performing poorly.

A long term plan should be developed over time. We've seen no progress under Ronny, therefore I see no long term plan being complete any time soon.

Ultimately, CL or Europa league, European football takes greater importance than ever in the absence of a domestic challenge.
