:50: i know.....Seville was the peak and still remember MON's words after the Villareal game the following year (quarters i think) when he basically said that to go forward form there we needed serious investment! He knew it wasn't happening, i knew and accepted it wasn't and any clown with half a cell knew it wasn't happening!

Roll on a couple of years and you've got the war-mongerer John Reid banging on about how the bust lot were running there club and we would never do that.....that was a * insult to the intelligence of the support afaic as we weren't asking for anything like that.

Now up to current.......major downsizing (which had to happen) but also regressing as a team on the whole because of bad investment imo.

It makes me greet to think of the cash we've * away when a bit more balls on a couple of half decent signings might have at least got us into 1 extra champs league with the new club in the lower leagues. Reap what you sow!!

Sort it out Liewell! or even go.

have they started putting annual profit/loss figs on the seats at home games yet??

Soon people will realise the balance sheets don't look rosy, loss last season, wait for the interim results for the first 6 months July-December and only the money received for VVD will mask how poorly our revenues are.

The true indicator will be full year results to June this coming summer, we will make a loss again. Its not all fan dabby dooby in terms of finances, the regression on the pitch is starting to hit us in the pockets big time, it has just taken a few years for us to see the effect on the books.

Agree with this. It's will be a wake up call for some who think Lawwell is some sort of financial magician. The sale of big players has masked it in recent times but the steady decline in the playing side will catch up with us.

Regarding Lawwell, does anyone know how his bonus is structured? Is it simply a case of us breaking even for him to receive it?

The board have failed at their jobs , selling any half decent player we have to balance the books is a clear indication of this.I'd rather have kept wanyama and paid him the money the other 30 midfielders we have are getting.this wage cap bollocks needs to go if we find a player worth 40 or 50k a week ,we need to pay it.it only becomes a problem when you are handing pish players large contracts

The board are the problem here. They are reactive, not proactive.

We need someone to come in and spend some money to get us to the riches, we need someone who will rather give 25k to someone rather than let them go and pay a fee and 10k to someone else. We need someone who puts the football side of this club first.

None of this is going to put us under, not if we react to failures on the park and dial it down a little. For too long now we have been getting spoon fed this * about going the same way as the huns and we have been playing it too safe. It's time to be proactive on the pitch and reactive when something goes wrong on the pitch. Not proactive off the pitch and reactive when something goes wrong on it, when it's too late.

Lawwell, Desmond... It's time to sell up and move on.

I don't know why you are so surprised, this isn't anything new for me.

I just don't flood the threads 24/7 because a lot of the time I'm happy with Celtic so don't feel the need to keep on about it.

theres either have to be a change of policy or change the board and if they wont change then its time for DD and lawell to move on and get people in who will try to get celtic at least into the last 16 of the champions league that is our bench mark to aim for .

Desmond is a paper Billionnaire based on his assets, he has always said that the club should be able to stand on its own without his financial support, good for him if we let him away with it.

We accept that the SPFL cannot financially support Celtic with its prize money compared to the EPL, thats why qualification to the CL has become so vitally important to Celtic. Our best players are being sold because our board want to balance the books, regardless of the longterm effect on the team.

So Desmond really needs to sell up and move on and make way with someone with ambition, if not the downward spiral will gather pace and the club will be a shadow of the Stein, O'Neil, Lennon & Strachan sides.

The fan base is still here, the global appeal of Celtic is there, although this will start to dwindle unless we start getting back to the group stages of the CL. Sponsors might not like the SPFL audience too much, but Celtic are much bigger than the Scottish TV market, therefore the potential could be much better than it currently is.

We need to get back on the rails, we need new shareholders with ambition, we need a new management team with good tactics, we need some new players with class, not second and third rate no-hopers.

You'll all keep going to the games and spending your hard-earned money on this shadow of a Celtic team.

Next home game - NOBODY GO. Empty stadium. Can you imagine their fat sphincters trying to calculate their losses??

There has been an ongoing dumbing down for YEARS. Wake the * up.

No * will listen...they fall at the feet of the media hype over this game....therefore they will pay and turn up....yet at the same time watch this team regress while they save and make money....

If they had any dignity at all they would turn up tonight and demand everyone to go
