Fenerbahçe is much better and stronger than the first game. Team is more familiar to each other. Even though we have some lack of players such as raul and rvp we are Stronger now.we know u gave up. But don't think the game will be 4 5 - 0...we expect 2-0,1-0 or such a narrow game

Could really do with a win here, would be an embarrassment to finish the group with 2 points

Ronny will stick with 4-2-3-1. Why change for 1 game. Gordon will stay. He won't play Janko unless he is not match fit. Why drop McGregor as he's done nothing wrong?

In the '2', he'll play Bitton & Johansen - hope he doesn't play Johansen, but he will. Problem is Johansen/Armstrong/Allan/McGregor can't tackle/stop play coming through without giving away a foul - if we're serious about CL next season need a proper DM, in the mould of Lambert, to protect the defense.

Front 4 will/should be GMS, McGregor, Forrest, Griff, but, if fit he'll probably go with tried and
tested of Forrest, Commons, Armstrong, Griff, then bring on Allan, Cifci + A N Other with 10 min to go.

Why should it be GMS over Commons?

He's not really properly played 4231 in Europe this season, it's been a half arsed hyrbid between that and a 433/451. Quite hard to nail down what we actually have played, which just goes to show that formations are a crock of * sometimes.

Commons is ineffective wide right. Only place to play him is '10' but McG done nothing wrong to lose his place.

Ronny does play 4-2-3-1, but middle 5 get squashed or '2' go wandering, so yes agree we end up with 4-5-1, with front '1' playing the 'Billy No Mates' role.

Commons is our top scorer and top assister in Europe from wide right, how is that ineffective?

BT don't exactly promote themselves too well. I can never find out in advance what games are going out on BT showcase.

The other thing is they broadcast in low quality too.

You'd think they'd want to show themselves in a good light and highlight their quality. It seems not.

Showcase games seems to be something they are contractually obliged to and don't really want to.

As for the game, I don't think we can win out there. 2-1 or 2-0.

    Gordon
    Lustig Boyata Jozo Tierney
    Bitton McGregor
    Forrest Armstrong Allan
    Griffiths

Hoping it's something like this, maybe even give Ciftci a start or put him in instead of Armstrong.

Fener need the win so they will go for it. Want to win but just hope to * those Ajax * don't get through.

Kris has been brilliant for us and actually I'd like to see him in middle of park directing operations but won't happen. Asking him to play wide right front/back is a waste of his talents. Yes agree with your Euro stats but 3 things -

he's the best of a bad lot.

His stats go over a long period and

In my opinion, we need to look to future and give likes of GMS, Forrest, McG, Allan, Armstrong a run as a working unit.

Those stats aren't over a long period, they are for the Europa League group stages this season. He's played on the right, he's scored more and set up more than anyone else. I agree he's better in the middle but he's also better than anyone else in the team when he's on the right.

IMO when looking to the future, we also shouldn't be ignoring the here and now.

I don't think we're disagreeing on his ability - you think wide right and I don't. That's OK.

I thought the writing was on the wall for Chris' future when a few weeks ago Ronny was talking about the January window and said we needed experience. Well, we have experience in KC, so why the need to go and bring someone in...unless at 32 the end is in sight (in Ronny's eyes). Add to that, for me Allan is a younger version of Commons and I think he'll start to get preference. Hope I'm wrong because I'd like to see him moving on to coaching side - he has a brain, talent, passion and loves the Club.

Would love to see wee Nesbitt get a game, at least 20-25 mins near the end, in a Euro game. I'd give him a start personally, in one of the attacking midfield positions.
I'd def give Allan a start at CAM and have Armstrong in the middle with Bitton.
Only place to put McGregor would be out on the wing again, though he seems better in the middle. Basically mix it up a bit, experiment and use it as an opertunity to try something different and give younger players a good test. I think we can win this, even if we play Nesbitt. He'll be well up for it.
