Will always be a Celtic fan when we play in the Scottish leagues. That is who Celtic are, a Scottish team.

Playing in a European League would not make us any less Scottish than we are today.

We would be Scottish club competing in a European league against English, Spanish, Italian etc clubs; would Milan no longer be Italian? Would Madrid no longer be Spanish? I don’t think so, so why should Glasgow Celtic be any different?

Also, if we are so Scottish, maybe we should adopt a policy of only signing Scottish players from now on? Sell Boruc, Skippy, Nakamura, Hinkel because they are all non-Scottish?

Sorry, but I really don’t buy it for a second that we shouldn’t play in a European League because we are Scottish, think it’s a ridicules argument TBH.

so i was responsible for the "worst post ever" for only 5 days!

personally, i'm glad of the delay, hopefully the Old Firm match will be rescheduled for a date when i can borrow some1s season ticket and see the match myself!

    all donations considered!

Personally, a Euro League would ruin football. I am sure a lot would agree.

Of course I support Celtic in Euro ties.

I'm meaning, if Celtic choose to join a Euro League instead of playing domestic football, I'd cease supporting them.

    Why ?

We play games in a mini-European league already. It's called the Champion's League.

So why the need for a separate breakaway Euro League when every European team can live with their domestic leagues and the Champions League?

I didn't say we need a European league. I asked you why you would stop supporting Celtic if they joined one.

Because I'm happy with the way things are now.

As I've said before, a breakaway Euro League would destroy football. Takes away the whole point of domestic football.

To my eyes if Celtic joined the so-called breakaway league, would be the day Celtic died.

I'm happy the way things are. I enjoy supporting Celtic playing the likes of Aberdeen, Rangers, Dundee United, Gretna, Stirling Albion, all the Scottish teams. And I love the build-up to the European games. European nights are special - as we represent Scotland.

I hope to * you are wrong Andy. But as things are going on in football, money seems to be more important than passion and pride.
