    I believe the 2nd explanation more likely than the first. Given some of the accusations previously leveled against you regarding Ireland and the Irish do you not think this post was at best foolish?

    I can only speak for myself and not you but Celtic fotball club means everything to me I follow the club on a weekly basis not twice a week every few months like the national squad. I'm not that into international football anyway but even if I was I would still never have the affection for my national team as I do for my club with the reasons i have stated above

    They were both accurate explanations.

    Im a bit fed up treading on eggshells.Its the same with Catholicism.Some people know im born a Protestant so they never let it go if i get involved with anything to do with the Catholic Church as though i have an agenda..Its tiring and boring.

    For what its worth, i did used to think the Jack Charlton team was a joke at the time with so many non Irish players...........but we have since joined that bandwagon to a fair degree so i cant exactly get annoyed about that can i?

    This is a slur on Packy Bonner and the rest of the Irish players. Its a cheap shot masquerading as a joke.
