Someone on KDS saying he's heard that it's just a loan, no option to buy.

If that's true, this is ridiculous.

Looks a cross between Dion Dublin and the dude out of Hot Chocolate.

Edit: That is Dion Dublin :56:

Do we as a club have an age cap on transfers? nothing wrong with bringing a 30 year old in every now and again

The manager talking about him during today's Press conference

RD on new signing Tyler Blackett: Tyler will bring quality. He’s a good player, young and has experience playing for Manchester United.

RD: "He really wanted to come and play for Celtic and he’ll be a good signing."

RD: "He can play centre back and left-back so we’ll see what his best position will be in September."

Good luck for the guy. He deserves all our backing. Hope he proves all us wrong and become a great player. It's not his fault that our "scouts" are lazy morons, that Ronny Deila is a coward arrogant yeasayer, that Lawell and Dermot are two parasites leeching the life out of our club. Really hope he has all the talent and bravery all other * I mentioned in this post don't.

Alex (I'm a barrel load of rumours) Rae said on Clyde1 that his best position is left back, and if Celtic want a replacement for Van Dijk then we'd be better buying someone else.

He had him on loan at Blackpool I think?

I'm happy enough if he's used at left back because that's one position I wanted strengthened.

No option to buy would be grim.

    Welcome to Celtic young man,

if you can't nail down a regular place in this defensive set up you may want to think about a career change

My United supporting pals in England say he's good. Hopefully we have the option to buy him if he turns out well.

Denayer was highly rated and 2 years younger.

This guy divides opinion with United fans, the majority I have seen saying he is a donkey.

From what I have seen I know where they are coming from. Obviously now he is here I am behind him but I don't really understand this one, being honest.

I'm not exactly enthralled by this but look at the positive side of it. van Gaal trusted him enough to start a few times for Utd in the Premier League so he must have something about him. I would have rather we looked elsewhere like the guy from Dinamo Zagreb but it looks like this board won't get the purse out so we'll just have to hope for the best from Blackett. Welcome :50:

People think this is bad business? He looked decent for Utd whenever I seen him play. Van Gaal used to to begin with until more experienced players were fit.

He's a loan, no risk, we have the option to buy him at the end of the loan.. Seems sensible! Otherwise we end up in the Denayer situation again, at least we have the option to try and keep him at the end of the loan.

For the earlier posts.. he's a LB? he wasn't for Utd anyway, he was a CB.. can only imagine he can play both positions if that's the case. Even better news.
