Larsson interview with German magazine

Easily the greatest Celtic player of my lifetime. Words cannot describe how much I loved him playing for us and what he meant to me as a Celt. When Henrik Larsson was playing for us we truly had one of the worlds best players playing in the hoops.

You are my Larsson, my henrik Larsson, you make me happy, when skies are grey......

 

* love this guy, even after all these years he's still a hero.

Some footballers forget all about their clubs after they leave, henke just talks about us more and more.

I actually cried the day he left,i have never really cried in my life to be honest,even at funerals...I just new he would be missed for the rest of our lives, even his interviews turn my stomach into knots.

Ghod? Hes even better than that

A LOYAL player ,that is very rare to be seen like that (gerrard/giggs are the others)

If we where ever going to get knocked out a tournament I rather it was by him and the way he walked away with his head down was heartbreaking to see....but his love for us was still there..


If there is only one thing I would want from Larsson now is........Send your son over and get him told (another legend in the making) A new hero lies in wait

The King of Kings

 

He's a once in a lifetime player. It'll be a very long time until we get another as good and loyal. The king.

 

Henrik Larsson has a special place in my heart. When Larsson played I watched every Celtic game, mostly European Cups, the Finnish tv showed. He was and is the football king for me. We have a local football king, namely Jari Litmanen, who played for Ajax. Litmanen is generally called a king here, too, but that's a different kind of thing. Larsson was a worldwide legend for me. He's still well-known and really famous in Finland, a Swede though but almost like our own son.

 

At first I thought it was a hun joke to annoy us but they muppets genuinely believed he was better than Larsson.

 

Henrik is living proof that * exists

 

Still get goosebumps when i see videos of him, then i begin to tear up and have a lump in my throat.

 

Wish we heard his song more often.

 

I've said it before but if I caught him in bed with my missus, I'd tuck him in.

This amazing man, a man who eclipses all footballers that play these days with his dedication and humility, will likely never be matched at Celtic park again.....

..on the pitch at least.

I don't think his playing days for us will be the last time he raises hope the way he has before at this club. I fully believe he will return to his rightful throne as manager.

It's surely written in the stars that Henke will go full circle with the club that made him the man he is. He gave so much and by the way he speaks about us still, he'll want to return and create a new legendary Celtic side in his mould.

That would inspire a mass of fans.

 

Really good player. Shame we're unlikely to get a player the calibre of Larsson to play for us for as long as he did again.

It was always strange how he wasn't too great at penalties though!

 

what a tremendous player ,, a goalscorer ,and a set up player ,, awesome footie player, with all round vision a celtic icon ,i m o as are all the greats that played for us magnficent seven ,, jinky ,, ect wonderful player for us and scottish footie ,, he proved how luckywe were in his future club,s an icon.. great to see him play

 

I feel sorry for the younger members who probably didn't get to see him play.

 

Such a polished player, unfortunatley the likes i dare say i will never see in the hoops again. Every striker we have bought since, ive always thought the same old thing "could this be the next henrik?" Unfortunatly they never even come close .

Blessed to have seen him in the hoops. Still disapointed he didnt score in the correct end during his first 2 games

 

The man epitomises excellence in its truest form. The force was strong with him. However there is another.... I feel it in the force!

 

My favorite player of all time and the biggest reason why I began to support Celtic.
