Good debut today from Bailly, had a wee bit of a howler after the penalty save; but Gordon made a few mistakes last season and every goalkeeper makes them.

Definitely looked a better backup goalkeeper than Zaluska...but it was just one game. Hopefully he can prove to be a good backup this season.

Really happy with him it's more than likely Gordon will not have an injury free season so it's good to have someone a bit better than zaluska to call upon

Mixed bag but I'll let him off in his first game. Great save for the penalty but a blunder out in no mans land that was lucky not to cost us a goal..

All in, looks a good back up. Was impressed that everytime he had the ball, he tried to find a man with his kick, no area hit and hopes. Angled passes that didn't always come off but right idea..

Absolute dreamboat - looks like the lovechild of Ronny Deila and James Franco .

I thought his only iffy moment was after the penalty save, when, as you say, he nearly cost us a goal.

I thought his kicking was very good, never an unnecessary aimless launch (which is my only real criticism of Gordon, also I think some of Gordon's kicks can be very weak) and a vast majority of the time he found the player he was looking for. Any time he needed to just get rid of it, he got good distance on the kick and got it safely up field.

Only a friendly but I'd like to see him in a competitive game. Of course Gordon is number 1 at the minute, but it'd be good if Bailly can really push him, I suspect he'll be a greater back-up than Zaluska anyway. :50:

I thought overall it was a pretty good debut for Bailly. Apart from one hairy moment when we missed a ball coming out of his box his all round game with ball at feet looked good and he made a couple of decent saves as well of course as the penalty he saved in the first half when it was still 0-0.

To be honest, he wasn't that busy with his hands bar the penalty, I can't mind too many more difficult saves he had. His clanger was a real blunder though but I agreed about the kicking and I can already tell he's a much better keeper than zaluska, and his pedigree backs that up..

It seems like this was the perfect opportunity for Logan, at the right time. Hopefully he can make the most of it and become our new no.1

Didn't say there was, did I?

I respect Logan's confidence in his ability to do so. Of course he may just be saying that, but I'm being optimistic. :smiley-laughing002:

First he says keepers are crazy, then says they're simple. The * is it Logan.

They aren't opposites, you can be both very easily.

I feel like he's just throwing out adjectives for fun. What a crazy, simple man.

Think The Logan gives a * what you ask? He's currently trying to invent a new, cheaper type of sausage casing. He's busy

I know everybody liked Gordon but if this guy proves himself and he should get that chance then there's no reason could take first place

We should have a system like Chelsea I inow Gordon will want to play every game but give Logan cup games and an odd league game

Didn't have a lot to do but thought he was pretty decent today!
For those free kicks at the end thought he could have did a bit better for the second one ( probably should have caught it, or at least punch out for a throw in) but recovered well and made a similar forster vs sanchez type save in the 2-1 barca game. (OK maybe i'm being ridiculous).

He is also one big sexy MF.
