In fact if Scepovic starts scoring goals and Stokes starts playing regularly, and we play with just one man up front, I don't see why buy another striker. Since Scepovic last season was a bit poor, I think it's better to have another option there.

(Does it seems that Commons can play everywhere and it's never been a problem up to now, isn't it DaDoo?)

He's not a natural winger though.

We only have 2 natural wingers at the club in Forrest and GMS.

I'm against because I would prefer to see our youngsters to have a chance, and to create good players from our academy instead of growing up other teams' players. And I believe Fisher can be used to play instead of looking from the bench.

Commons can't play in the wings sorry he's not fast enough, everytime the ball comes to him it slows play right down. Much better through the middle.

so you dont want us to sign a highly rated, versatile youngster that has a lot of the attributes our manager likes in a player because we have plenty of players in the positions he can play, he only managed to play 14 games (in half a season) for bolton, and we have youngsters coming through who should be given the chance.

but you also want us to sign jeff hendrick, an averagely rated player who played 18 games for derby (in a whole season!), despite the fact were pretty well covered in centre midfield and arguably our most promising youngster could play in that position too

    aye, alright then

You could apply all these same points to Paul Pogba.

Also if it's not his position, he has no problem playing there. If you said me that Janko can play also as left back, than I would say buy him! But I think that it's not so important fo us to have a winger or another right back at the moment

Sad reality is the majority of our youngsters are not currently good enough. To have a team full of them right now making positive impacts is a bit of a pipe dream, IMO.

If youngsters from Man United, Man City, Barcelona, Real Madrid etc etc improve the side then why the * not bring them in. It's about what's good for Celtic first and foremost and what will improve us. Not trying to chase this dream of having a fully home-grown side which will never probably happen again.

Adding a few youth players in is fine aye but no use persisting if they aren't good enough. Chances are this guy is already of a higher level than Fisher.

I've got a good feeling about this.
A young highly rated player, who is both fast & physical for free (by all accounts).
We can play him at RB when we are playing cannon fodder in the SPL (no offence :icon_mrgreen:), or he could be used on the right of the attacking 3 when his energy, speed & defensive attributes are required against better sides, away games, Europe even.
Obviously very early days before we see him in the team (considering he signs), but I'm pretty hopeful & can see us targeting guys like this more often, especially after the success of Denayer.

If we buy him then he will be our player, we won't be "growing up other teams' players".

Fisher is a good player yes but he's 21 now and isn't a regular. Jankjo can be used further forward too.

We need to keep improving over all and Ronny obviously believes this signing will go towards that.

Can you tell me where I said Fisher is not good enough? He spent a large part of last season out injured as well, you're so worried about youth then why don't we just put Tiereny in at left back for cover?
And on your other points, Stokes & McGregor are on their way out, Forrest can only play 1 game per week max, Armstrong is not a winger, we definitely need another winger to provide more competition.
Fasan is a good young keeper so why go and buy another one?
    * clueless.

Not to mention Ronny obviously fancies the look of him, a 19 year old straight out one of the best academies around, much better than signing the likes of Borrigter. Who says Fisher isn't going to chance either?

Mcgeady and vossen. Close the transfer window.

If we lose vvd later on, replace him at the time.

Other than that, it would be a superb transfer window.

Nuts to think that we could spend a smidge under 5million and have strengthened so much.
