Similar to Spanish resorts but a lot lot cheaper. Pint of lager about 40p. Large steak about 6 quid in Sunny Beach. Enjoyable cheap holiday. We hired bikes and went touring. Temp was about 35 degrees when we were there last August

I would seriously consider Estonia or Latvia before thinking about going to Bulgaria.

I think you would have a much better trip.

I'm meant to be going September time to that Sunny beach, no expecting much just going for a mad * up.

Is it still open in September?

They used to have the holiday season then practically shut up shop after that. It is just a holiday resort with very few people living there.

You'll get people complaining about everywhere. Half the time it's what you make of it.

I thought Sunny Beach was alright, not my idea of a holiday, but all the Spanish and Portuguese resorts are the same for me.

If you've got kids, nothing beats Florida, but that's expensive and a long way away.

Somewhere like Salou is a good shout with a family. They don't have the outrageous nightlife like some places and they are setup up well for families.

Very good theme park, water parks and all the usual beach stuff.
