The Orange Order is a religious organisation. Albeit a bigoted one.

I know but you could make a comment Slaggings off the Catholic Church but you couldn't do it Slagging off Catholics because that would be bigoted ( not that I agree with it being that way or anything it's just how it goes )

A bit considering her age. I don't think she should've been sacked. Disciplinary and a warning about future conduct would've been enough.

A men's first team player wouldn't get sacked for that so I don't see why she should be .

Odd that. I know people in it who are not religious in any way shape or form.

Calling Rangers fans DOBs is bigoted though because they are not all Protestants.

Exact same reason why calling a Celtic fan a * is offensive.

They may well have 2 faces because you need to be a Protestant to be a member.

    * them. Have you seen what Dundee Utd's new signing has posted on his? No mock outrage over this though in the papers, wonder why? :87:

I wouldn't be offended either with that but calling a Rangers fan 'Orange' may not be offensive, but DOB?

Would you be offended with DFB? I would be. Puts pretty negative slant on it.

It's incredibly offensive. I'm not Irish, I'm Scottish.

Calling Celtic fans Fenians is offensive because it is racially stereotyping a group of people.

Even for those who are Scottish born with Irish ancestry you should find it extremely offensive. It is a slur against your ethnicity implying that you are somehow less of a Scotsman compared to them.

You can use it like a badge of honour if you want but it's unacceptable for others to mark you for it.

'*' has a religious connection nowadays doesn't it?? Thanks to the huns etc. So you may be Irish and proud to be a * but not Catholic and to them that is part of the insult.

I think I will judge what I find offensive and what I don't.

You can judge what you are offended by, not what offends.

Nowhere have I said what people should or should not find offensive, I've always said that I personally wouldn't be offended by it.

lads, if any of us calls anyone a dirty (insert stereotype) * in our jobs we're pretty much * these days. It's a legal thing; it's their opinion that counts, not anyone else's. the abuse of that nowadays is rife, but celtic had no choice but to do what they did because they'd have left themselves open to litigation otherwise. she was stupid to put something like that on record (no pun intended) and got what anybody would nowadays.
