I didn't add also slows the game down gms and and Forrest are the type of style wingers you want people who don't * about and either get to the by line or want to counter attack

GMS on the left and McGeady on the right would be amazing.

Right, so not a one trick pony. He's done far more than that, in those two examples there's 2 different 'tricks' outside the one you've mentioned. He is just a skillfull player.

You agree that he has no end product? How come he can set up 80 goals for us then? The third most creative player since 2000, behind Larsson and Thommo so no shame there.

If he had no end product, how can he consistently set up that many goals?

People are acting like I hate the guy full stop! I would agree with you here I did also say the early days looked promising but added with the time we sold him
We done well in getting what we got! If he had been sold at this time your speaking of it would be double without a dought. His form slipped and his attitude stank in the end

Have to laugh at people claiming guidetti having an ego mcgeady was just as bad it was all about him or nothing

Stokes is a very creative player, always has been.

So you're saying he only had end product due to other players now? I don't get your point, either he has no end product like you first claimed or he doesn't?

Those stats are from 2000 onwards, so it's not just Stokes he set up more than, it's Stan Petrov, Lubo Moravcik, Samaras, Nakamura etc.

Aiden McGeady is a level above both GMS and Forrest.

Aye, his feet are devastatingly quick when he's facing someone up. It's tiresome for the defender, having to literally guess where he's going before he swivels..
    Let's be honest, he'd annihilate your Logan's, Paterson's, McGowan's, Raven's, silly up here..

I think people genuinely forget how good he was with us, both footed, doing the business for us, more often than not..

If you watch the Strachan 3 in a row DVD you realise how devastating he was for us, he's involved in almost everything in the European games in the second last 16 run.

Gms given time will be a head above mcgeady that's my opinion and yours is yours I prefer my wingers to go all out attack instead of pussay footing with the ball

I'm not the only one who has said no to the fucksake:56: most things I have said have been highlighted already

Aiden was a 10 million quid winger playing for Spartak at 24.

I couldn't possibly be any happier if you are proven right but the reality is bringing McGeady into our current squad makes it instantly better and if there's a chance of it happening we should pursue it.

Major shout that, at 24 McGeady was winning Player of the Years, was tearing apart the likes of Benfica and AC Milan, was an established International player...

GMS certainly hasn't matched him yet, I don't think he ever will but if he gets near that level of achievement for us I'd be very happy.

And if we don't get a striker in the mould of jvoh a big out and out striker who likes to get in the box then what Aiden does with his game is pretty * pointless for years we have never had a guy in the box to get on to crosses! Aidens game is about getting near the by line and crossing the ball 8/10 very shitely but I think what you get what I mean by this

If he's wanting to leave Everton I don't see why not, he's said since the minute he left he wants to be back at somepoint.

Aye, it's what you were saying earlier about carrying the ball 50/60 yards and getting a breather. I'd say he was just as good at that, as Sammy, if not better at making something happen at the end of it..

McGeady is a traditional winger who runs to the line and crosses the ball. Which was good when you had big Jan, Hartson or even Sutton and Larsson (forwards who attack the ball). I'm not sure if it will work with Griffiths, Scepovic, Jelle or Ciftci.

This is why we have attacking midfielders like Commons, Armstrong, Mackay-Stevens and Johansen. Creative players with imagination who can slip passes through defences. Players that suit are forwards.

Sammy was obviously a better goalscorer at that level but McGeady had more purpose when going forward with the ball and try and make something happen.

Sammy would wander and pause at times.

I disagree with that. That's the way WGS utilised him, infact the biggest cause of contention between the two was that McGeady liked to head inside to support te strikers and WGS said he needed to play wider.

He has far more to his game than just that.

Aye, when Sammy was going forward and carrying the ball (exceptionally well) 50 yards, it sometimes seemed, he wasn't sure what he was doing and would head to the corner. Granted at times it was because he was waiting for support, but Aiden could go on mazy runs with a purpose from start to finish. A 50 yard run and a bit of improvising and a wee jink inside and he'd go it alone if no support was with him..
