Clubs you had a soft spot for - but now cannot stand

Milan were class. Kaka was one of my favourite players, was well chuffed to see him play at Parkhead.

 

Always had a soft spot for Inter because my old man had a Inter kit back in the 90s and I thought it was the smartest going :smiley-laughing002: had a few myself as well when I was younger.

Loved watching them on football Italia on channel 4.

Not really got an interest in them these days as the "magic" of Italian football is pretty much deed.

Newcastle.

Their fans seem to be the worst for 'The SPL is *. I don't watch it but it's *'.

 

Liverpool fans bad for that aswell, Irish ones anyway.

I used to support Chelsea when I was younger, had jerseys and went to a game, although was brought to that with my football team. Was against Wigan and Terry scored the only goal.

Stopped supporting them when I was about 11, nothing to do with their connections with the Huns/Loyalism (only learned about that a few years after), just never felt right supporting an EPL team, could never feel the same about one as I did about Celtic.

 

Napoli purely from watching footage of them when Maradona played. It just looked amazing. Also always had a soft spot for West Ham when Di Canio played for them and keep an eye on their results and watch them on Sky now and again, far from a fan though.

 

Southampton in the Mick Channon, Alan Ball and Kevin Keegan era but went off of them when they had that posh plum Rupert Lowe in charge. Strangely, I quite like them again after the way they have come from Division One to third in the Prem.

 

Inter's home strip is possibly the nicest in world football(not this season's one, it's crap). Our hoops and their home kit are probably my two favourite strips.

 

Not a club, but I always liked Holland. Now their players all seem unlikeable

Used to like Valencia and Inter Milan when I was a kid, don't really bother about them now though.

 

Also liked Inter when I was wee, got a home shirt from someone, can't remember who though, used to wear it all the time..

That is a cracking top. I love the badge in the middle, wish we would do that more often.

 

Arsenal. Just because of Bergkamp. Lost all interest when he left though.

 

Ajax are another side.

Used to like to see them do well, club with a great history, good football philosophy, one of the best youth academies in football but their behaviour in Amsterdam when we played them was shocking.

I don't mind a bit of aggro, it's football, but going out their way to attack normal fans and making a sectarian banner just for us is too far.

 

I used to like AC Milan as my dad was a big fan of the Dutch and at that time Milan had Gullit, Rijkaard and van Basten. Plus Serie A was always big here as they are our neighbours. Things have changed recently with the globalisation of football and the likes of Chelsea, Barca and Real now probably have more fans here, but Italian football is still very popular in the western part of the country which is closest to Italy and where most people also speak Italian.

So, anyway, I was a big AC Milan fan, used to love the Dutch trio, not to mention Baresi, Maldini, Albertini, Boban and Savićević. Then I grew up and learned about Silvio Berlusconi and also started disliking Italian football in general for the way they played and all the scandals and * and they also signed some players I really disliked and still have those and now I really don't like them. I would even go as far as to say I currently prefer Inter over AC Milan, as a strong Slovenian connection has been established with them over the years by the likes of Handanović, Krhin and Belec (and although the latter two didn't play a big part at Inter, they are both ex-Maribor youngsters so that definitely plays a part).

 

Newcastle didnt mind them, now I * hate them. Was at one of their games ten years ago, and some bollocks tried to sell me uda uff etc badges. I think he was trying to provoke me and my mates.
I dont mind liverpool they are a proper club with proper fans.

 

Real Madrid
used to love the galacticos with zidane Carlos raul but then Larsson signed for Barcelona and it just didn't feel right supporting them and Ronaldinho is also my favorite non Celtic player i have seen so now i have a soft spot Barcelona and always try to watch or look out for there results and with Ronaldo at real i hate them now
