Do you not understand what liquidation means?

I do. Maybe I worded myself poorly.

Anyway, it was an insignificant off-hand remark, which really has very little to do with the discussion.

highly doubt it, having watched them recently in turin drawing 1-1 to a very good Juve side & squandering several chances-they simply will make are back four look terrible. Probably take 5 or 6 off us so its just a case of how many we can score!! sorry truth of the team we are atm.

    Let me rephrase my original question to Glasgow_Bhoy then;

Are Celtic then in a way 'lucky' that Rangers were liquidated?

Were Man Utd lucky that Leeds went into financial turmoil?

Had nothing to do with them, just like this.

No one thought we could beat them in 1967.Celtic will rise to the occasion and so will a lot of our players who will never have had a backing that they are going to recieive and give them that extra 20%.No one thought we could beat teams like Leeds Utd, Man Utd, Blackburn, Liverpool,Benfica, Sporting,Barcelona and loads of other European teams..Give the team the backing and we can beat anyone.

    Exactly.

And in no way is it 'luck' that we've consistently played and delivered (although we really haven't, but that numbers tell their own, objective story) in Europe, thereby getting a better seeding.

Why is there an Inter fan on the Celtic forums?

Because we are playing their team next month in two games, surprised this has escaped you.

To give you some perspective and insight on who you're facing, and to discuss the two club's meeting in about two months.

Which explains why we're discussing Inter Milan, but why has an Inter fan ventured onto the Celtic forum, which is a forum for Celtic fans surely?

Well, if you look through the two threads I've posted in, I'm sure some posters have appreciated knowing a little bit more about the club they're facing.

But if it's that much of a problem to you, that there's a guy who doesn't support the same team you do on a forum about Celtic, I know where the door is...

As far as I am aware this forum is not restricted to just Celtic fans - there's a Hibs fan that posts on here for example. If opposition fans, particularly from European opponents, want to come on here to find out more about our club, to see what we are saying about their club/players/fans, for them to offer their worth on their team etc then what's the problem with that exactly so long as they stay civil?

Aye it's good to get different perspectives from fans of other teams from time to time. It's good when it stays civil but in my experience some * always ruins it and it turns sour.

    Let's keep it clean! :50:

I was brought up with a dad supporting hearts & mum supporting Celtic.. Celtic but i have a big soft sport for hearts especially now they are destroying sevco in the championship & as a Scotland fan they bring up loads of youth talent.

As for the OP question. Yes, Ofcourse no need to be pessimistic.
