I'm not his biggest fan but for a quarter of a million we should definitely sign him. He'd be the second best winger here, after Forrest, so why not.

I'm all for him. For all their good attacking players, who's been there to anchor for them? John Rankin and Paul Paton with Sean Dillon at the back? With Brown, Johansen, Kayal, Mulgrew and Bitton there to anchor, a flair player like him can flourish in a team like Celtic.

I'm delighted we're not going for yet another "hard worker" who brings "energy and engine" to the team. We need some exciting players. Sign him up!

He's a step up from berget.

Happily take him on a freebie.

There's no way he's a step up from Forrest unless you're throwing injuries into the equation.. Even still..

    Pretty indifferent about this.
    I guess he's cheap - which is a positive.

    Disagree.
Forrest is a one trick pony when he is not perpetually injured. Kicks the balls two yards in front of him and runs in a bee line, defenders have Forrest well sussed out. GMS is definately an upgrade on Forrest + Berget + Wakaso + Derk.

When talking about Forrest injuries need to be brought into the equation to be fair.

Maybe Forrest would be the best winger but there is one big difference.

GMS's left footed, Forrest is right footed.

There might be nothing to stop Forrest doing exactly the same thing GMS is doing but out on the left. So then you've got two wingers who can cut inside and go and hit shots to the far post.

If it's not working the players can switch mid-game.

Problems for Mackay-Steven or mistakes mainly come into it second half. Fatigue maybe. But we've got a really good bench these days so it's not a problem to just send him out to run himself into the ground and bring on a sub when the mistakes happen.

He will put a shift in and he has the pace to get back and defend. If he can improve on that we've got a player. I'm sure he's working on that just now, but he's always gonna want to go sneaking off and shirking some defensive stuff sometimes and that's really because United play one up front.

Be great to have this guy playing for Celtic. Watched the game against Hamilton. He played very well along with Armstrong. Celtic should go for him and Armstrong and the other bloke who put in a good shot from the left. Must be some good Aberdeen players they can try and get as well.

I dont want us to completely destroy the league again just as its getting a little better.

I do want Armstrong though, Mackay-Stevens would probably be an upgrade on what we have as well so id take him seeing as he's leaving United no matter where he goes.

Just a hunch, but got a feeling he'll be a tremendous signing if he comes here.
