What would happen if all elected nationalist MPs (SNP, Sinn Féin, SDLP, Plaid Cymru) refused to sit in Westminster? Would that affect the legitimacy of the government in London if Scotland alone returns, say, 50 nationalist MPs?

It's unlikely to pan out like that :icon_mrgreen: but if Scotland does return a huge majority of SNP MPs well that will do two things. 1. it will rid us of rats like Jim Murphy and Jackie Baillie et, al 2. It might be a step towards either home rule or full indy. We don't know but surely it would be better to try and see where it goes. Labour are always going to be thorn in the side of those seeking progressive politics whilst we have an ageing population who're afraid of change.

I hear where your coming from but as a one off trying to get as many pro indy MP's elected and dump as many Labour politicans as possible would be a real positive momentum builder ahead of the 2016 assembly elections for Scotland.

Hypothetically, What would happen if SNP win all of Scotland and there is a hung parliament.
Do the party that is in the lead have to approach SNP first as they would have biggest amount of seats outside Liebour and Scum parties.

I think the big 4........you know those in the planned tv debate, will work something out so that the SNP do not get anywhere near power.

Some sort of * government like...tory/ukip/lib dems....or...labour/ukip/lib dems.

Would westminster let the SNP get anywhere near power that can strip some of its control over Scotland.

Maybe even making sure labour do not lose the forecasted seats in Scotland.

Well when voting bear in mind

    1. only one Scottish Labour MPs voted against the 30 billion tory cuts last week. SNP all voted against.

    2. There will be a no trident renewal vote next week brought about by the SNP. Labour prob wont turn up.

    3. The SNP want to save North Sea jobs by giving the oil industry a tax reduction but Danny Alexander wont do anything - just a maybe for the next budger. Remember oil is not devolved and is entirely in the hands of WM who have stripped ever penny.

    4. Suddenly Lab are regretting no oil fund but they covered up the oil wealth and failed to do anything in decades in power

    5. Labour are up to their necks in privatisation of the NHS. They are advisers banging on about a 10 quid a month charge for anyone to use it.

    6. What happened to all that crap about being better together - they wont let the SNP into the TV debates despite being the 3rd largest membership party

    7. Two thirds of Scots want all powers except defense, currency devolved yet the Smith Commission is devo-* all. Brown said Home Rule.

    8. Jim Murphy is one of the worst careerist and most right wing 'friend of Israel' Labour people of all time.

    9. Jim's henchman McTernan is on record as saying the a decent living wage would be a bad idea and that charges for using the NHS is a no brainer.

    10. Megret Curran is clearly a witch

Have a question for those who have not selected the SNP in the poll. Although it is a Scottish parliament issued and this is a General Election would you be more likely to vote SNP if they addressed/revised/scrapped the Offensive Behaviour at Football Bill?
