I was really impressed by Marcos Lopes in the UEFA Youth League ripped Bayern apart. Don't know how highly rated he is at Man City though.

I imagine most of their reserves would walk into our team. Guidetti for a start

Is boyata still there- always thought there was a player in there somewhere if he got a run of games. Scott Sinclair although he probably wouldnt take a pay cut to join us.

I am against loan signing unless there is an option to buy. Unless the player is an established proven player who has fell out of favour.

I dont want us developing other clubs players.

Hate loan deals without an option to buy..

Even if we get two years out of Denayer he'll never be our asset..

I'd rather we bought wisely and then moved them on for a hefty profit. As keeping class players at the club is very difficult.

Makes no financial sense to pay wages for two years and then have nothing to show for it when the player returns to his parent club.

If we can get any City players with a view to a pernament deal then ok, but don't think its a club we can do longtterm buisness with, as the wage structures are incomparable..

Guidetti may be an exception but hasn't committed yet.

Id take that Lopes and Scott Sinclair.

Lopes looked great in a couple of games he played for Man City, has a similar build and style to the likes of Aguero and Tevez.

If I was Ronny id be doing all I could to get Lopes on loan in January or next season, he'd get a game every week here on a wing or in the hole behind a striker. He's currently on loan at Lille not sure how hes doing.

Lopes is on loan in Lille until the end of the season. I agree with og1 for once, loans without options to buy is an emergency option only

Why are folk against loan signings ?

Better than spending £1m+ on somebody who flops. Plus, if we sign a gem, chances are they will be getting flogged within a year or 2 anyway.

Agree, I welcome loan signings, especially young quality players like Denayer who we'd have no chance of signing. It's good to see quality players even if you know it'll probably only be 1 year.

We should try and bring in 1/2 of those types a year. Like Denayer, Lopes, Milik who joined Ajax from Leverkusen or other types who would be to expensive to buy and probably not have any interest in signing but we can both benefit from a loan.

Everyone is obsessed with ownership. If larsson had been on loan for the 7 years he was with us would we have enjoyed it any less? Forster and samaras were on loan at first, guidetti has been superb and we would not be top of the league if it wasn't for him. Denayer looks set to spend another year after this one ends. Most players we buy move on after 2-3 years if they are any good so what is the difference

Good point. Good players are now unlikely to play for us for any more than 3 years now anyway, so a season loan of a good player isnt much different.

I don't think, following Denayer and Guidetti, anyone can be against loans from quality teams?

Even the likes of Tonev, we were in for his permanent signing so thank * he is a loan and we can punt him back down the road as he's completey gash.

I'd Randy Marsh if we pulled off a loan signing for Lopes, option to buy or not (almost definitely not).

We do still need a cash flow coming in, so we do need to buy and seek, but when we can supplement that with signing players of obvious quality, like Denayer and Guidetti, on loan for a season or two, why the * wouldn't we?
