    Mick, Nigeria didnae qualify.

Ajax also have a year's option on his contract. He's left footed so he'd probably play where Van Dijk plays.

No. It's a good shout, but i'd have concerns about this guy. One that looks great on paper but he's a bit reckless at the back.

I guess so. Only time i've seen him play was against us last season in the Champions' League, gave away a penalty and Kayal's goal deflected off him.

Somehow he's picked up a red card suspension early in the season and been sent back to the development team.

Was brought back into the team for the cup and i don't want anybody being signed purely for sell on value. Looked seriously lacking any confidence and i don't see him giving a * about bursting a gut to get back and help the team.

It's a no from me. Guy's lazy and not got enough confidence for me. You can see here, first goal wasn't entirely his fault, but he goes to tackle with his left foot, when it's a right foot block, shy's out of the challenge.

Same with the last goal. Not Ajax's best team in the cup, but i don't see the leadership qualities and that's what we need in both centre back positions.

Didn't impress me when we played them, but in all honesty that's the only time I've seen him play.

He was good last season year and played consistently. I think he has had a falling out with de Boer and Ajax management. If anything I would be more worried about attitude problems. The guy's got talent though

Do you know why he got the double red card at the start of the season? Reckon that might have something to do with it.

Don't think this seems likely at all and as other people have said I wasn't that impressed by him.

How on earth have you always liked an under 21 Ajax player.. I doubt you even watch the Dutch league to see enough of the Ajax first team. Never mind the under 21s :56:

Ive seen him loads of times, he is a decent player who would be good for us, especially for free, you'd happily pay £3million for him and have him as a replacement for Denayer/Van Dijk - he's similar to Denayer. He played for Ajax the majority of last season.

Aye well, he's * murder at defending. I don't give a * if he can play a nice pass.
Guy's playing folk onside, then hoping for a wee offside shout. PSG, right fair enough, but i think it's fair enough to say that Ajax aren't exactly renowned for their defensive qualities.

Ajax are always fairly * at the back, they never sit in and defend against teams and are always open to the counter etc, just how they play. Similar to us this season actually, doesn't mean their players can't defend they just prioritise a certain style that leaves them open to get pumped against good teams.

    There it is. :rolleyes::smiley-laughing002:

I've seen him play a handful of times as well and I don't really go out my way to watch Dutch football. He definitely played against PSG in the Champions League this season and I'm fairly sure he might have played against us in the UEFA Youth League.

Aye, the PSG video's above. Maybe not his finest 90 minutes. :smiley-laughing002:

I'd rather a technically gifted defender than a no-nonsense (* hate that term) defender.
