    Standard of Ulster football is much better?

    Laois beat Armagh
    Mayo beat Fermanagh
    Longford beat Monaghan... Longford:56::56:

    Munster have Kerry only. Leinster have Dublin only. Connaught have only one decent team - and we saw how close Fermanagh ran them yesterday. Ulster had eight teams in the top two divisions last year. Sadly Ulster is the only competitive football provence - which is a good argument for an open draw. At the moment the Ulster championship is the only one worth watching. I wonder how many provincial titles Kerry would have won if they had to play Donegal Tyrone Monaghan etc each year

    Connaught has only one decent team..hmm is that Galway or the Rossies? The other Ulster boys in here tell me the league doesn't really count so not sure if that has any bearing. If Kerry or Dublin played in Ulster championship they would have the lions share....fact...But I do agree Ulster is the most competitive province, that doesn't mean they have the better teams as results have proven... I'd also agree on an open draw in the All Ireland and run the province championships separate..the province titles are becoming less and less meaningful because of the backdoor... Dramatic overhaul is needed but I wouldn't hold your breath..

    If it was an open draw an Ulster team wouldn't have a hope...

    Why didn't one of those Roscommon forwards have a pop at the end. Crazy holding on to the ball there with seconds remaining
