His interview after the game was interesting. Think if we put a bid in, he'd come straight to us.

He was questioned on Deila and Browns interest in him, he smiled it off, said it was nice to get the compliments, but then went on to the diplomatic response of syaing how good Dundee United team is to play for. Wouldn't confirm his own interest, but neither shut the door on it -all while smiling.


Maybe I read too much in to it, but it came across as a man who was happy with the link and wouldn't be against it - while trying not to * off Utd fans.

 

Armstrong looks ordinary to me and I don't think he would enhance us much at all. Erskine looked better than him today. I would pass.

 

I have to say, I don't get the hype. He's a decent player but I don't see what he would bring that we don't already have, except more rotation options.

He was man of the match was he not? Wasn't poor lol had a good touch and pass, has pace. More than most of our team has haha

 

When it comes to it. It isn't the technical ability that stops scottish players succeeding with celtic, it's the ability to deal with criticism and pressure. Look at mcgregor, looked superb had a * game or two, croud got on his back and now he's hopeless. Forrest is a bit like that too, hides when it's not going his way. Players like johansen brown izzy have put up with a lot of abuse from fans in the past but still keep looking for the ball and putting 100% in. Mulgrew is the same, never hides no matter house * he plays. Strachans team was full of players who wernt that good but fought like * robson, Hartley to name a couple. I havnt seen enough of Armstrong to say if he could hack 60000 fans screaming at him for losing the ball

 

I think if we signed him he'd instantly go into the first team. Quality young player. Him and McGregor are probably the best young attacking talents in the country.

 

He's a worker and on the counter attack he's got the pace and the imagination to see things early. If he has to, he'll just close players down all day long.

I hope we get him because right now we're way too reliant on defenders playing in midfield and that's why we're leaking goals.

 

im not a scout bud and tbh i couldnt tell you any names but if you watch some european football you would see that armstrong would struggle to get a game in most half decent clubs across the continent

i wouldnt be against him coming here but he wouldnt immediately improve the team which is what we need at the moment
