It's a false tactic, He signed * players so that Bayern would eventually have them and he could run away with the league again :50:

    * right it wasn't. They've more than had their return from an initial $2 million loan, that's for sure.

Bayern got Gotze from BVB for good money, BVB got Reus from Monchengladbach, its the same.

Its Borussia`s fault they put clausules in Gotze or Reus contracts. Its natural the best players want to play for the best

Bayern always wanted to have the best german players, Gotze was available so they bought him, Pep wanted a striker with better passing skills than Mandzukić = What other club would look for someone with risk for big money when Lewandowski is for free? Its just business

Reus threatened to sign for Bayern instead if Dortmund didn't put the minimum release fee clause in his contract.

I like Klopp and Dortmund as well, but Bayern do to them what they do to other clubs in Germany.

Klopp will turn things around, I think. I just worry if it doesn't happen within a year or two, he might be tempted to jump ship.

Iam sure I read somewhere before that Reus would never sign for Bayern as he's a Dortmund fan? similar to torres and Real years ago?

Reus was born and raised in Dortmund and probably grew up as a BVB fan.

By the way Götze was born in Bavaria.

Klopp will get Dortmund into the top 3. They will go on a mammoth run.

Yikes. Guy still hasn't turned it around. Reckon Dortmund will get hit for everyome next transfer window (should they go down).

Yeah Hummels and Reus will be as good as gone. Possibly Piszcek, Subotic, Gundogan and Aubameyang too.

He spent stupidly in the market.

Went for lesser known expensive players, whether that was to protect his own status as a low spending manager through people's ignorance or to protect Dortmund's underdog status.

Either way, he should have just used the money to sign decent established players. 20 odd million for Immobile? You could get a much better striker for that amount.

Closer to £14.5 million. I agree with you though, even if he's shown glimpses of the player he could be.

Bayern pretty much bailed Dortmund out didn't they?

I think thats why they get dibs on the players.

They don't get "dibs" on the players. Dortmund were forced into selling Götze due his release clause and his desire to go to Bayern, and they refused to sell Lewandowski to them almost out of defiance. Of course he ended up joining them anyway and then people were critical of the fact they didn't cash in on him. It was a lose-lose situation.

They loaned Dortmund about 2 million euros back in 2004. A relatively small amount given the size of their debt but still appreciated nonetheless. I'm sure they've done something similar for St. Pauli, but don't quote me on it.

Positive they will reach the top 5/6. Be betting them every game from now on, surprised they're as short as 11/20 away to freiburg though...think Hummells and Weidenfeller speaking to fans will be the turning point.

I don't think Immobile is a bad striker - he was the top scorer in Serie A last season and is relatively young. He just doesn't fit Dortmund. They need a hard-working striker who is willing to work the channels and Lewandowski fit that. Someone like Bacca would be a really good for for their style of play I think.
