my mum buys it sometimes and if its there I will have a glance at it, but I would never waste my own money on it.

I stopped buying the record over a year ago. I buy either the times or herald/scotsman maybe once a week if i'm in a shop or garage.. quality read

The sun has to be the worst paper ever, i'd put the record higher up, sun is a comic

If i'm buying a paper i get a proper one. The best thing about the tabloids is page three, and the record doesn't have one.

The tabloids are only good for Sport, Page 3, and amusing stories that real papers wouldn't bother printing. Therefore it's right up my alley, if I want real news, I'll watch the * news:84:

I buy the Sun though, * the record..

Until a few months ago I bought The Record every day.The standard of reporting particularly featuring Celtic is shocking. The Record a good few years ago used to be a reasonably good quality Scottish tabloid newspaper.I think though in an attempt to halt declining circulation figures, it has sank to the Suns level not just in its football coverage, but throughout the whole paper.

I can honestly say I have never bought the daily hun. Obviously easy for me to do now living in Chicago. But never bought it when I lived at home nor any time I have been back home visiting.

apart from the biased sports section, it is a decent paper by tabloid standards although its heavy political bias towards labour and against the snp is annoying.

I never buy it now. It's pure *.
A waste of 40p? It cost us 40c which is the equivalent of 70p over here and it's always a day late.
The Sun? How anyone can buy that piece of shithouse roll is beyond me.

One thing about the Daily Record, when you live in England at least you can get hold of it and keep in touch with the Scottish game when NOT sitting in front of a computer, like any media its opinions can go either way its not the be all and end all especially these days with so many outlets for news/views etc

I agree that their unquestioning support for New Labour is irritating, particularly when the quality of Labour politician is so poor.In days gone by, I think the Record had a more independent feel to it on a number of issues. Now it reads no different to any other tabloid, which is a shame. The football coverage is absolutely rank........

I only buy it sometimes, cos its the only Scottish paper ya can get over here in Ireland, so it has better Celtic coverage than Irish tabloids.
