He was better last season than he was in 2011. 32 goals and topping the assist charts with 14 was an immense season for an attacking midfielder, don't know how anyone could argue different.

2012-2013 his link up with Gary Hooper was excellent, scored 20 goals and was up at the top end of the assists again (think he topped it actually). Scored the goal to get us through to the last 16 and had excellent performances against the likes of Barcelona to help us through.

He's been one of the most consistent midfielders we've ever had, goalscoring and creativity wise.

You do make a fair point in terms of him having goals. But I personally think he wasn't as good as he was before and I don't really see him as a team player either. Also his age doesnt help either, I think he's 31. Deila insisted that he would want a younger team.

Do you expect team players to set up goals for others? Because outside of Stokes there hasn't been a more creative player than Commons.

Deila may want a younger team but he knows young players need experienced players around to help, it's the reason that he signed Vidar Riseth in 2009, it's why he had Peter Kovacs in there as well.

He may like developing youngsters but part of developing youngsters is having the older, more experienced heads next to them to keep them right.

I would expect 2 maybe 3 players to follow NL to Bolton. Commons & Mathews are quite likely i would say. Wouldn't be surprised if he tried to get Mulgrew too.

Really need to bring in a solid CB in January, Denayer will go back to Man City, and if VVD does not go in that window, he will most likely go in the summer. So we need to get a good CB integrated in to the team ready for next season.

Getting the Guidetti deal tied up has to be top priority. other than that i can see any other strikers or midfielders being brought in, we have to many of them as it is. I would suggest we will wait until the summer to decide which dead wood we will get rid of.

Would love to see derk work his magic on the left flank, but his injuries are killing his career, and us.
If he can get fit, I'd like him to stay and play.

Sell: zaluska, Griffiths, biton and commons.(nowt to do with anything other than developing the squad further).
Berger, tonev and wakaso loans can run their course - I really don't see the attraction wakaso.

Matthews I'd like to see fit and give cover to both Izzy and lustig. Gordon and fasan are good for Gk role. Fasan will need more game time to develop though.
Cb with Efe, denayer, vvd, we are very * light - and two potentially not here in 7months time. We need two more in there.
Midfield, brown, johansen, Kayal, with Mulgrew and Henderson as back ups.
Wingers of derk, Forrest and McGregor. Stokes capable of playing wide.
Strikers of scepovic and guidetti (again stokes) and another one in - still got my door open for pukki.

There is no way Charlie Mulgrew will go to Bolton. He is a regular Scotland international and we can command a decent fee for him and they don't have any money.

Christophe Berra, Craig Forsyth, Gordon Greer, Russell Martin, Steven Whittaker, Ikechi Anya, Craig Bryson, Chris Burke, Shaun Maloney, Chris Martin, Stevie May.

11 players currently in the Scotland squad who are all playing in the Championship.

Mulgrew at the moment is a championship standard player, who would probably be hovering towards the lower end of the championship average pay at the moment, and i think the board would happily sell him for 3 - 4 mil, which could be made available to NL to spend.

I would be over the moon if Lenny went in for Mulgrew..

Priorities for us are what they have been for the last couple of windows:

A centre half or two (our pairing now will be gone by the summer)
    A back up left back
    An attacking midfielder
    Another winger

Don't think Bolton have £3-£4m. They're skint, spent like £200k in the summer.

Almost positive that Wakaso's first position is defensive midfield. Maybe try him there.
