3 in midfield is important with Mulgrew in holding role and Brown and Johansen in advanced roles. Worked a treat yesterday.

Said earlier in this thread that we should keep the same team (with Scepovic in for Guidetti) but I think he'll push Stokes up front and bring Wakaso onto the left.

I would try and keep the team as close to the team that played yesterday.

 

I would agree with that. Matthews in for Izzy assuming he is injured and either Scepovic or Griffiths up top for Guidetti.

 

Got a good feeling for this one, a win and the wind has turned for deila and the bhoys.

I would be inclined to go with Griffiths and Stokes together up top for such an important game as we know they work well together, not sure if a Scepovic and Stokes pairing would work and I would not be prepared to take the risk yet.

 

Astra just drew 1-1 away from home, their goal coming from a penalty kick.

It was their first game under Protasov, but they continue as a shadow of what they were months ago.

They didn't have any striker available today though.


Enache (their only player currently in the national team) is always a threat on the right. The playmaker Laban, international with Cyprus, has a good left foot. And the unruly Budescu, who didn't play today, has genial executions despite being lazy as *.
Their defence is slow and not solid at all.
