I think it's a really though call as to whether he should start or not, but I would definitely start him. He is one of the best players we have when he is firing on all cylinders and Griffiths will be the better impact sub of the two.

First name on the team sheet, highest quality striker by some distance.

Gallus *, goalscorer, attention seeker. This game is tailor made for John Guidetti, mark my words!

I'd start him. Got something to prove still and this is the type of game to do it in.

    I totally agree.

Deila need to put sentiment aside and ask himself who is better.. Griffiths or Guidetti.

Griffiths pace will kill them tho.

I'd be happy with either tbh

Why not both? Griffiths / Johansen / Commons behind Guidetti, Stokes on bench.

Absolutely not. Offered those 5 players, and asked to pick 4, I'd leave him out.

Why? What is different about this game and the last 7 he hasn't scored in? I could get your argument if we were talking about a young Tim in a goal drought or at least a Scottish kid who will get the real meaning of the game, but a Swedish kid? It's just another game to him.

He absolutely has to start for me, no question about it. If he starts he scores in this one.

Johansen and Stokes are also certain to start, probably Kris too in current form. Tbh everyone's getting so fixated with the team, it picks itself. Sorry thumb.

I think for me Guidetti starts not only is he a goal threat but I think his movement is more intelligent than Griffiths. Also a threat from set pieces and I think with his comments about the hattrick and his personality he will be right up for it.

People have been saying this for a while - 'Guidetti would be perfect against the huns' - but does John Guidetti have some long burning passion for hating the huns? I seriously doubt it.

Just because he said he wants to score 3 in the paper doesn't mean he should play against them. He's done the square root of * all in the last 2 months. Griffiths on his own for me with Commons just behind him and Stokes & Forrest/McGregor/whoever (in the future GMS) as wingers.

He can't do nothing and then walk straight into the team for one of the biggest games of the season. If that happens and I was Griffiths, I'd throw many a toy out of my pram.

    Why can't we go two up top? Play a diamond in midfield;
    Bitton
    Brown Johansen
    Stokes
    Guidetti Griffiths

Or do folk think this is far too offensive? Effectively playing with three strikers I guess..

Scored 3 against Ajax, seems like a character who likes a derby.

    Griffiths deserves his olace though.
