    Everybody saying we could do better than Guidetti, name me 2 or 3 strikers in our reach with better potential and for the same price as him, with the same attitude and determination to win? Who would make a guaranteed connection with the support?

    Why can't people realise he is without doubt one of the best we could attract. So fickle.

    I think Tifosi thinks any professional footballer is good enough for us. 'why should we pay Guidetti 30k when we can get Eoin Doyle for about 4k a week?'

    Guidetti is the best striker available to us at the moment, by far. If we miss out on him it will be a travesty. People seem to not realise this because he hasn't scored in a few games.

    I think (hope) he was at the wind up big time last night, hopefully had one too many shandy's at the bells.


    Second bit you said there I also entirely agree with. We let him go, just wait a month or two when we have signed another player for 2 or 3m from the Kazakhstanian Premier League who doesn't get a start and is judged entirely on 10 minute substitute cameos and is sold after 6 months.

    Yeah I agree.

    I struggle to see what would satisfy these people. Maybe if we didn't take Guidetti on loan at all and just bought him for £5m they'd be happy.

    As a side note, I think we have a real good player in Scepovic. That will hopefully keep Guidetti on his toes if he does sign permanently.

    Someone who scores every game, which will never happen. Unfortunately.

    Guidetti has the potential to score a * tonne of goals for us given a good pre-season and back to full fitness, which he still isn't at.

    Do folks genuinely believe the board would sanction the Guidetti transfer though?

    I don't think he's as good as folks make out. But there's a reason why he's here on loan.

    Now, Scepovic I think looks a player.

    Re - Doyle. He holds the ball up well and links it well. Did so at Hibs and is doing so at Chesterfield.

    What reason are you suggesting he's here on loan?

    Your point on Doyle - he was * at Hibs and he's doing well at Chesterfield. Problem with that is... it's Chesterfield.

    He could have earned the same amount of money in City's reserves.
    I'll be very surprised if he doesn't sign permanently.

    Would you rather we let Guidetti go instead of paying him 30k a week, and instead signed Eoin Doyle?

    No. He has potential.

    Would the board 30k wages - No. The reality is he wont be playing for us next season.

    Doyle isn't as bad as being made out. But if push come to shove, I would Scepovic get a decent run. Then sign another striker.
