    Hope Celtic manage to sign him in January and he then goes on to break Jimmy McGrory's record for goals scored in one match, 8, against the huns.
    That would be absolutely fantastic and would put him up there with Celtic legends.

    According to an interview with one of his Reps during the summer window just gone, ( http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...xit-talks-feyenoord-wait-4029873#.VFe4NfmsUeV ) JG is on a 1.6 Mil Euros a year wage with City. That works out at just over £24k a week wages, if you break that down into 52 weekly payments. That is well within our wage limits, we have no excuse not to put a very attractive offer on the table for him, that is if we are to believe the old " The money is there to buy the right player" story, and the "we can afford a £6mil player". Seems like JG may have forced the board to put their money where their mouth is and live up to their promises. Especially when there is the chance we could get him on a free with a pre contract! I think if they do not pull out all the stops to try and sign him, the backlash from the fans is going to be massive!

    Boyd is a terrible player, always has been. There was a reason he was dropped everytime they played us.

    Used to be alright for a hat-trick against Gretna but that was about it.

    Tbf Boyd does it brilliantly.... at his level and he's got the record to prove it.

    However, I was excited to get big G as soon as we were linked, after his time in Holland, and he is definitely looking like the player I was hoping for.

    Comparisons to Larsson tho is laughable just now :56:

    Is it not similar to the situation we had with Ledley. We sold him to Palace in January to avoid losing him in the summer for * all.

    Just because Guidetti is here onloan doesn't mean City cannot sell him, I'm sure someone has said it a few pages back but do they not have the right to recall him and then sell him on to another club in January?

    Not sure if that is accurate mind you as he is here on a full year's loan...might be a clause though somewhere, usually is.

    They can only recall him in January though - when he's capable of signing a pre-contract for anyone he wishes.

    All this tabloid talk of fees of millions of pounds is absolute bullshit. City have no power at this moment in time to stop Guidetti going anywhere he wants to go. Nor, I believe, would they want to.

    Even if there is a clause along those lines (which I doubt there is. He is on a season long loan deal) the player still has to agree on a deal. So really the power in this situation is all with Guidetti come January 1.

    I think nothing will be decided with regards to a contract being offered to Guidetti until we qualify from Europa Group stages and the Last 32 draw is made.
    The Last 16 draw will be made on same day as last 32 draw.

    Read an article this morning in which he said he was not currently considering a permanent move to Celtic, not sure if that's just because hes still technically a City player though, not wanting to cut all ties and all that.
