Most Overrated Movies

The Big Lebowski.

 

Saw Saving Private Ryan yesterday, it was good but not as amazing as everyone keeps going on about. The beginning kinda gives away the ending.

 

Didnt like Casino, it was like watching a film with the commentary switched on, kept thinking, itl stop soon and il be able to get into this, but it never happened :54

Most of the James Bond movies are quite pish.

 

Pulp Fiction - think it's utter bollocks, like most Tarantino films, with the exception of Jackie Brown.

Football Factory - Ned pish.

Anchor Man - Never laughed once, in 2 attempts.

 

Reservoir Dogs - Seen plenty of people rate it as Tarantino's best film. It's average. Nothing really happens.

No Country for Old Men - It's regarded as one of the best films of the 21st century. Seen it twice now and it's probably a 7/10.

There Will be Blood - See above.

 

Harry Potter, Anchorman, Step Brothers.
HP and Anchorman I thought were utter *, Step Brothers is ok but vastly overrated.

Shawshank is a great film but I don't really understand how it's rated as the best of all time. It'd be about 10-15th on my list, maybe lower.

Batman Begins and TDKR not a patch on TDK.

Inglorious *. Good film but probably my least favourite QT film.

To be honest there's a lot of films I don't think are great first time around then love by the second or third watch.

 

Tried watching National Lampoon's Vacation last night after seeing reviews of it. Turned it off after about 20 minutes; unfunny, goofy American *.

again, one of the best movies ever made if you care to think about it. as for the casting i couldn't see anything wrong with it as it fitted the mood of the film. please watch the above link for explanations if you require it.

i dont think a lot of us need an explanation by nerds...most people just think its an overated piece of * movie,it was boring as *,end of IMO....i wasnt interested in whats what and whos who.....i wanted a * Alien/Aliens type movie and we got a script of boring bullshit.....i hope the second ones does far better,but as we only really have had 1 ever sequel thats better than the first(aliens) then i fear not.

on the subject of the alien movies...i actually really liked the third one

bono, take your point but that was not what was being said about prometeus that it lacked action etc. as i previously mentioned it was a film you had to think about, be interested in and be familiar with the story line. what was directed was that it was full of plot holes and unexplained events.

agree that alien3 was a good movie but the book was much better.

 

Away man. Basterds is far better than Dusk til Dawn and Deathproof

 

I thought alien 3 was a massive let down , the story was a mess i think it was rewritten a lot of times. I actually thought the fourth one was an improvement it had a good cast, michael wincott is a great actor.

 

I really like From Dusk till Dawn. Besides, it is not a QT movie, but a Robert Rodriguez one.

 

the part of dusk till dawn that tarrantino wrote is very good , basterds was alright but had nothing on django.

 

I just love how they suddenly changed the tone of From Dusk till Dawn. It is like watching two movies taped together.

 

i think rodrigues did the part with the vampires and tarrantino did the crime caper, the twist is hilarious the first time at the the tiitty twister, I didnt know what the * was going on.

 

All the Twilight films. I'll never get what people found so appealing about them.
