Tom English is a *. Slating Derk for "diving" but saying it was a disgrace that Mackay didn't win his pen. They both done pretty much the same thing, so either both are pens or both aren't.

In Europe other managers will tell their players to dive against us in the box to win penalties, I'm not saying divings right but if our opponents are doing it and we're not, they gain an advantage over us that could end up being massive.

Football is not a non-contact sport. Even if there was some contact, Derk deliberately threw himself on the ground - that is a dive.

Looked a dive to me. There was a wee bit of contact on his back but IMO he threw himself down like a sack of tatties.

Agreed, it was an embarrassment. Just because cheating scum like Porto and Juventus dive doesn't mean we should lower our standards. If he'd gone down immediately after contact then yes, it was a penalty. But to run a few yards further and then throw yourself onto the ground is a bit pathetic.

Is no one else seeing him trip himself? Ignoring the initial contact from McKay, he went down after tripping himself, not diving.

Thought Boerrigter went down easily and could have stayed on his feet. Dave McKay also went down easily and could have stayed on his feet. Both players had minimal contact and chose to go to ground rather stay up.

Neither instances were penalties in my opinion but as we've heard for years and years these things even themselves up over the season!!!

The latter catchphrase is one peddled constantly by those bleating this morning and last night when a decision went our way for once.

Watched it again, he clearly doesn't dive.... He takes a knock off of the ball..

We do need a designated diver for europe, all the big teams have them and more often than not we've been on the recieving end of them..

Don't like diving at all whether by us or an opponent and don't want to see Celtic players doing it. Was always a source of pride that we had hard players in Old Firms like Robson, Hartley and Brown whilst the huns had despicable monkeys like Novo, Lafferty and Naismith.

Have to say though, it would be hilarious karma if we dived to win a penalty in Europe against someone like Juventus.

I hate diving tbh and honestly think any offender should be banned for 3 games and fined by their respective clubs.
