Celtic made no complaint. It was a clerical mistake which the competition officials discovered. You placed a suspended squad member on your bench and played him when he should have been sitting with the rest of the players who traveled but never made the team or bench.

The rule is in place to ensure that suspensions are effective in preventing regular breaches of the rules. Otherwise any team could ignore any red card whenever it suited them and get away with a slap on the wrist or small fine.

Allowing a team to breach this rule and play a suspended player sets a precedence that other clubs can follow which would severely harm the integrity of the sport. Ueafa and FIFA competitions have established rules, If you enter that competition you must play by those rules as must everyone else.

The error was on your part and any anger you have should be directed at your club, not us. No team on this planet would ever turn down the opportunity to play in the champions league and make 5-20 million. If this had happened to Celtic and we trounced a team like you beat us only to have our coaching staff or clerical staff * up and cost us our place in the champions league our management team would be sacked, The fans would be calling for heads.

Understandable that you're quite * off, it's a * ridiculous situation. I just don't get the anger towards Celtic, the only people who should be angry with Celtic is our own fans for how * we've been and the direction we're going.

None of this is Legia's fans or Celtic's fans fault, there is definitely sympathy on our behalf (well, in a majority anyway) but when Legia fans are coming on here and having a go at us and Celtic over all this then there's going to be a retaliation.

As I said, it's a * situation.

Remeber mate, It's only a game. Familly and friends are what is important and you being upset so much over a game and moody aint nice for your family and isn't attractive to friends so get over it and focus on the important stuff.

I'm sure Legia could cause some major upsets in Europe if they play like they did against us. At least you guys will still be in Europe, we had accepted that fate after your first goal in the second leg. Wish you guys luck but we are glad to bee rid of you for now :bbpd:

 

Think most of our support realise how pish we are at the moment m8 , also almost everyone will tell you we got a huge break tday and sadly for legia it was at their expense!! But as for the rest I seriously couldn't give a * how we got into the next round , sure playing free-flowing fitba and trouncing the poles would have been better obviously but heyho * happens and as it had * all to do with us I can live with what happened .....for me its now a case of will we capitalise on our good fortune and make it count ? Starting with getting 3 or 4 players in here pronto failure to do so would be the real crime imo !!
