This is actually a very good point. Obviously he has to be registered with UEFA and not being registered properly is the problem here, but actively leaving him out for 3 games shows at the very least a willingness to accept the terms of the players' suspension.

I don't mind him defending his club, but at the end of the day he has to remember who * up, and that's my argument for defending our club not only that but Boruc was the one that said last season that Southampton would be playing in the CL this season.

To the polish lads asking about honour.. I had a quick word with our CEO

He said, ' We are not aware of the Honour Cup Trophy, We are focusing our attention on the Balance Sheet Cup "

I am sure Legia are favourites for the Moral High Ground Annual Shield :shamrock:

Legia aren't a wee diddy team, and they can bring in money any time they want the same way we do, by selling players.

Their's nothing confusing about it, they know fine well what the rule is. Whether it was intentional or not doesn't even come into it. It's whether they put him on the pitch or not.

It's essentially the players fault for getting sent off last season, for a completely stupid push in a meaningless game Legia were winning quite comfortably.

If Celtic had any balls or integrity they would refuse to play in the next leg of the CL and let Legia go through as they should. But we all know, including UEFA, how badly Celtic needs the money, so they won't give two * about the sportsmanship and fair play.
UEFA wants the bigger club to go through, so Legia got screwed. If the same error happened to Real, Bayern, or Barcelona, they would argue it was an honest mistake and the club acted in good faith and impose a monetary fine only.

Celtic (and UEFA) will no doubt walk away the financial winners, but in the eyes of many football fans around the world you've lost a lot of sympathy and respect, which is something money can't buy.

Legia had no intentions to cheat or deceive you, someone in our club made an honest administrative error for which UEFA imposed the equivalent of football's death penalty. Is this justice? Is this what football should be all about?

So, enjoy your "success" Celtic fans, be proud of your club, you can laugh at us all you want and say "the law is the law", but someday the tables will turn against you and you'll feel what we're feeling right now.

Legia made a * of it, and not one Club in the land would not take advantage of UEFA's (again, not Celtic's) decision. This self-sympathy * really is hilarious.

Do I feel sorry for Legia? Yes. Do I think ANY Club would refuse outright the decision of UEFA?

    Please.

Overall, it really is that simple.

If they refuse to play the next leg then Celtic will forfeit 3-0 twice and Maribor will go through 6-0 on aggregate. There's no way of Celtic and Legia switching places, and in this case nobody wins.

This argument that Celtic had anything to do with it and that Celtic should do this or that to try and change UEFA's decision is laughable (anything we did would be as unsuccessful as anything Legia do). Had Legia won their case (or if Legia happen to successfully appeal) then I don't think anyone from Celtic – be it management, fans, or players – would have any serious complaints; on sporting results, you deserved to progress.

However they haven't because of * luck and a minor error by Legia; this is no-one else's fault (the UEFA match delegate made the complaint, not Celtic). Any anger or resentment directed at Celtic is misguided: UEFA reported Legia and UEFA made the decision.

We were *, you's played us off the park and fully deserved your 6-1 victory , of that there is no doubt. But I think you should climb back down off your high horse and admit that it was your own teams fault that your not in the next round. anyway what are you doing online at this time of the day have you not got any toilets to clean or burgers to flip?

Legia screwed themselves mate. That's the harsh reality of the situation.
