I think he made a few tactical bloopers tonight but let's face it he's inexperienced at this level so mistakes are going to be made. I think the most disappointing aspect for me was that we played so wide open when we were down to 10 men. That's suicide. Even against a pretty average team like Legia you are asking for it if you do that. We should have just kept things as tight as possible and tried to sneak away with a 2-1 defeat.

The team let us down, yes. But Deila made some unexplained decisions that others have pointed out. Everyone is to blame, it's just a matter of the share of responsibility. Regarding managerial experience- shouldn't that have made Deila moderate his attacking approach to football to more reasonable levels? Throwing men forward isn't exactly sensible. Lennon had played extremely attacking football in his first full season as manager. And lost narrowly. He learned from it, and moderated his tactics.

He should have shut up shop when Ambrose made a * of it,but no he was still fannying about with players and positions afterwards, the best managers consolidate and take stock,he still locks as if he thinks he can out score or play teams even when a man short, yes he will learn but what a stage to learn on eh :31:

I hated Lennon playing one up front last season. I actually remember thousands booing his team off the park of two separate occasions around October/November.

One up front for Celtic doesn't work. It's awful and boring to watch.

We need two strikers up front. I'm not liking Ronny's formation.

    I'm not picky.
I never really payed much attention to much of the tactics tonight mainly because I was too busy trying to calm myself down from the embarrassment of the defeat, but looking back on it there were some strange decisions.

I can understand the 1st substitution in one way, but for it to be our only striker, Pukki, that came off instead of Berget or even Commons, for instance, was a bit strange. The 2nd substitution was a strange one as well. I mean, playing attacking football with 10 men to try and get an equaliser, but bringing off an attacking player for a defensive player isn't really the way to do that I don't think.

I think the best way to have probably played it would have been the 4-4-1 that Deila reverted to but have possibly played a bit more defensively and then just try to catch Warsaw on the counter.

I just hope next week he goes with two strikers up front and not just the one. Something like this maybe -

if Lenny was still here, I doubt it would've ended 4-1. Likely would have parked the bus, which is something Deila would not do. But I dont understand why Pukki came off, then Berget came off then Griffiths came on....should of just left Pukki on. Mulgrew was poor in midfied and worse in defense..but to be fair the wgole team was poor especially in the last 10-15 mins. We looked unfit and tired....maybe too overworked by the coaching team in training. If we kept it at 2-1, we would have been favourites going into the return leg, at 3-1 still a good chance, but at 4-1 very so-so,. Quite hard to see us being able to keep a clean sheet. But could of been worse if they converted their penalties, 6-1 and no chance coming back

    2 upfront is dreadful.

You just have to look around the planet to see how few teams play two upfront.

It is not dreadful 1 up front is * killing football,it used to be all about attacking now it's about defending what you already have which is 0 :31:

    All about defending?

Football's probably at its worst defensively in its history.

The fact there's not even a centre back playing that's even close to being looked upon a great speaks volumes.

Times have changed...back in the day the onus was on attacking minded footballers like Maradona or Cryuff. Today defenses win games and trophies. Which means no longer can teams rely on one star player to win games...its a team game

Celtic should never be playing with one striker. Never.

Are you serious? One striker up front is what got us to the last 16 two years ago.

If you think a team can't play 1 upfront and be successful yer a carpet bagger.

Doesnt really matter how many we played up front or who was up there i actually thought pukki done ok when we got the ball up to him we olayed well for 7 * minutes then we passed the ball like it was a flaming bowling ball these so called * professionals trying to pass the vall through legia players or elaborate 30 yard attemots when we had men each side of the passer! Lole one of them poles said it shudda be 6-1 or worse if not for their * finishing so thats the only * positive improve the passing and play how i lnow we can and we will win this tie COYBIG

I still can't get my head around the way we set up last night, it was really embarassing, you don't go and play that way away from home in Europe. The fact the manager couldn't change it and just shut up shop at 2-1 was embarassing too.

Matthews at left back and the new guy in front of him, what were we thinking. I can't believe he dropped the guys who have been playing all pre season for the new guy as well as dropping a natural left back, bizzare.

Peter Lawell can away and sook a fart Aswell, if he thinks the fans are going to sit by and watch him gamble on champions league involvement while investing the square root of hee haw.

Smaras up front would have made a differnce on his own last night. He could have held the ball up and gave the midfield and defence time to re group. All we ended up with was a game of ping pong and we get fecked!!!

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Headless chickens last night. No cohesion, no understanding of what was required as the situation developed. Clueless. We were lucky it wasn't 6 or 7.

He should have defended at 2-1 down with 4 4 1, but instead he set out to get goals with wing backs who are unfit. It was insanity in Europe.

Hopefully Ronny sees sence and uses something very similar to this team.
Although we are desperate for 2 or 3 big players wether we are out Europe or not.
