michal kadlec or someone else

i think it is becoming obvious opposite teams are targeting the left side of our defence and our weak link lee naylor. if you look at big mick in paris and boruc we have players that can keep clean sheets and defend with confidence. I really think that the left back problem is starting to effect the rest of the defence and this will spread right through the team in big games. I would start looking at replacements early such as a michal kadlec or someone else and i really do think our young players especially the back four will flourish and we would look a far better side.

 

have you ever seen michal kadlec play?

 

if im being honest just clips but the scouts rate him and thats why i mentioned him. i just think that we are so close to having a very good side who can get points home or away in europe and win the the spl consistantly. I just think that the left back position is vital now as teams are putting pressure on naylor every game now and he is not up to it.

 

me neither, but as a guess, based on us signing naylor i'd say he's not up to much either tbh.
we need full backs as there weakening the team in both defence and attack though, i agree. well, wilson is good in defence. but naylor has lost it.
p.s. paul, its nothing more than lack of ambition. its not that the board cant see it.

 

i think Kadlec contract expires this summer. i seem to remember him having 2 years to go when we were in for him, so if there is still interest there something may be done in January regarding a bosman.

he got absolutely raped the other night, caldwell got pulled all over the place trying to cover for him.

having to make last ditch tackles isnt a sign if a good defender anyway, generally it just shows he's been caught out in the first place

 

and he can't defend the back post, the last three or four goals weve concedede has generally been from that
