More Sports at Celtic

I think Celtic should follow the steps like Barcelona and create more sports under the name Celtic. Hockey(of course HA! HA! ), Basketball, Rugby and Celtic could get the two big Irish sports as well! We already have a womens side so we could do this! Opinions?

 

I think at a community level it might be a good idea. To take it to a higher level it could be difficult financially - we aren't exactly on a level playing field with Barca, are we?

For me Celtic is a football team and nothing else. The idea is good but for me it just isn't what I would go for.

 

Would take valuable money from the Football Club. Barcelona make like 200 million a year. They can afford it we cant.

real madrid and barcelona have their own basketball sides amoungst other european countries who have basketball teams i cant see us going down this route,would be a good idea though although finance would be the problem for facilities,players wages and expenses.

 

Would be clever but would take too much finacing to do it.Best possible way for it is if some1 buy buys the naming rights to use are name as a name for them. Would give us a bigger name

decent idea but we need all the money we have to be spent on the football side of the club. like has already been said, we are a football club and nothing more.

the boston celtics would probably not want that to happen.

 

Just football for me. Even I think the Boston Celtics give the word Celtic a bad name....for one, it's Basketball, and I hate Basketball, and second, the Boston Celtics suck.

 

in Brazil, many teams have a lot other sports. Flamengo, the biggest winner of the brazilian league all time, were created as a rowing team, and has it in its official name till today, even tough they are best known as a football team. also olympic sports...

There no much of a basketball league/competition in Scotland as opposed to Spain. We would have to play in England haha. Imagine that, our football team can't get to play in England whilst our basketball side plays in England

 

I like the idea. If it could be financially beneficial to the club I`m all for it.

Mate I remember that from the old badge but don't know why we were called that. I cant seem to find much info on it. If anyone knows, maybe older tims than myself I would be interested to find out.
