Rac1 says that Messi told Barcelona that he wants to come back to training next week. But the club said no and asked him to take a vacation

What does all of that mean?

Is he just out of sorts - a bit emotionally unstable or what?

I didn't really think of it like that. I just assumed he is desperate to get back iinto training but Barcelona want him to take a break for fitness reasons.

He won't get a break next summer eith with the Copa America.

Aye, that is probably what it is - never thought of that.

    'Emotionally untsable' :52::smiley-laughing002:

He does need a rest though, especially with injury concerns. He'l be playing another 70-80 games next season.

It will never happen but I think he'd benefit from taking a few months out and working solely on his fitness.

What do you think Barca's formation and team line-up will be next season once Suarez is allowed to play? You think Messi will get shifted out to the right or something?

I think Messi will be more right than in previous seasons. But will drop inside at any oppertunity. The wing back (whether it be alves or otherwise) bombing on to provide the width while Messi is more central. Thats my guess anyway.

Do you honestly believe that any manager tells Messi where to play? He won't be getting "shifted" anywhere.

He'll play exactly where he wants, and he'll play alongside who he wants, as always.

Where do you think he'll play then? You think he'll want to stay in the centre of a front three and make Suarez go out to the right or something?

I reckon we'll probably see Neymar out on the wing with freedom to come in when required, Suarez playing as the main striker, and Messi basically given a free role.

The other two will be shifted around to accommodate him I reckon, depending on where he wanders to in any given game.

Having Suarez to take the attention of defenders will give Messi a bit more room to operate I reckon. It's going to be * immense watching them next season.

I agree with that, will be good to watch them going forward next season. Jeremy Mathieu is moving closer to being done, according to the reports. Still a few defenders required, a top quality centre half and right back needed.

Went to see Málaga CF at their open training session this morning, and i have to admit I'm getting excited for the start of the new season.

Got a friendly against Fiorentina coming up which should be a cracker.

Málaga away first for Athletic. Fixture was close last season, but hopefully we'll beat them again. :50:

Quite excited about this season, especially with some of the youngsters coming through (Unai Lopez and Aketxe in the middle, Bustinza at RB) plus the added competition up front for Aduriz with Sola and Viguera looking sharp in preseason!

Cannot wait to see how James does this year, I hadn't seen much of him before the World Cup but I was always aware of him from Tim Vickery talking about him for years and once again he was right, the boy is a real star in the making. It's just a shame that Isco is pushed even further down the pecking order with James coming in.

I'm not too worried about Rodriguez. I find it insane that they are getting rid of Di Maria he's been one of their best players over the last few years.

Glad Barca have signed Mathieu that's at least a step in the right direction. They could still do with another centre back or two though.
