Kenny Miller has claimed he was forced out of Celtic by chief executive Peter Lawwell.
The striker, 27, joined Derby County in a £2.3million deal on transfer deadline day.
The Scotland international told the News of the World that Lawwell told him he would be fifth choice striker at Celtic, would not feature in any of their Champions League games and that he was a 'Derby County-standard player.'
"I do feel the way Peter handled things towards the end of my time at Celtic was out of order," said Miller.
"He said things, perhaps to scare me into moving, which didn't have to be said.
"Some of them were quite insulting. I just feel there was no need to go down that road and he could have handled things in a different way.
"He didn't have to get personal, he didn't have to throw the toys out of the pram because he wasn't getting his own way.
"At the end of the day, it could have been sorted out in a much more amicable manner.
"Instead he tried to make my decision for me and force me out because it suited him."

How he can say that to Miller when he has always been commited to the cause and when Jarosik and co are sitting in the stand shocks me.:37:

Lawwell isn't the Chairman or the manager so I don't know why he would say that and I'm sure if he had stayed and was doing well in training he would get a game so I don't believe it.

i do not believe that either, lawwell seems a lot more diginified than that. anyway he wouldn't have been the 5th choice, he would get on the team sheet before zurawski and killen, and most likely mcdonald too.

I believe it. Lawell's judgement also deserted him with the way he treated Shaun. In both cases it seems he played mind games. Miller has absolutely no reason to make that up and Shaun has hinted the same sort of thing about Lawell without spilling the beans totally. Lawell is very good but he may have some flaws all the same. I cant see why WGS would have wanted rid of him now if nobody else was coming in and WGS also hinted it was Lawell's decision to balance the books and hew would rather he stayed. That is worrying. We dont want Heart type stuff here.

To be honest in this day and age when players have all the power it's pretty harsh to blame boards for stuff like this and Maloney. If Kenny wanted to he could have stayed, I'm sure he would've got a game, maybe not regularly but he'd definitly still be involved.
