    :bbpd:

Just hit me how young this guy is, 15! Mental that he's a first team player at that age.

At 15 he's 6ft tall. Almost the same height as Wanyama. Gauld is what 5ft 6.

Dundee United spin out all kind of stories about Gauld being linked with this club, that club, knocking back £3million bids. It's probably nonsense to drive the price up.

The Norwegian kid, in the long term is a much better prospect, he's got like a year and a half on his contract. Chances are Stromsgodset would be much easier to deal with than Dundee United. Gauld is on a long term deal.

Gaulds a good player, but for me the height difference between the two, with the Norwegian lad potential to be a big powerful player, as well as blessed with natural balance and skill, i think thats essentially the full package.

I don't think United would even dream of selling Gauld, and i'd be much happier going with a £2million bid to Stromsgodset with some sort of sell on clause.

At 15 the reason he's ready is because he's big for his age, whereas Gauld is a wee guy that's gonna find it a lot tougher against better teams in Europe.

There's a lot of hype about Dundee United players, but it's just that, hype.

A year ago everyone was raving about the skills of Mackay-Steven. Now it's Gauld. But it's essentially on the back of one game where he assisted 4 against Partick Thistle.

THen a goal against Kilmarnock, Ross County, St Mirren, Caley and Motherwell. Quite how that puts him on the radar of Real Madrid and Liverpool is quite laughable.

So i'd go all in with the Norwegian youngster and let Dundee United keep their players.

Who is the greatest prospect in Scotland right now?

Read about Gauld and saw him in a Youtube-video a while back, but I also remember reading something about him not getting playing time at all this year.

Also read about Calvin Miller. Don't think he looks that great on Youtube-comps, but he must have done something right to be named one of the biggest talents of the world..

Agree all Dundee Uniteds players are vastly over-rated, the only one I'd take would be YPOTY Andy Robertson at LB as competition for Izzy if he'd be willing to fight for a place. Although with us releasing him as a youth player I doubt he'd want to come back here but you never know.
Well no because he's not old enough yet to play professionally in the top league in Scotland, but once he turns 16 why not? The Maestro was put in at that age and the phrase 'If you're good enough, you're old enough' springs to mind and it's a phrase our new manager Ronny really believes in from what I've read and he rates him very highly so that's good enough for me. He could be the creative midfielder we've been crying out for a years now. With aging midfielders like Commons and Brown it's time to introduce a few fresher faces.

Apart from Tony Watt with us.

I would say Stevie May or Andy Robertson at Dundee United. Maybe Armstrong as well but I think he's very over-rated.

Also being named in that one to look out for generally counts for nothing, James Forrest was once mentioned in that as well.

Miller got named the best player his ago off a random blog with no credibility.

He wasn't even starting for our u17's or Scotland the last few months. Nesbitt and Thomson are far better prospects in his age group.

Nah he got named it off somecunt with a blog. I'm sure in his past blogs he had * like Conor Whickham and Nathan Redmond rated higher than players like Kovacic Pogba and Draxler. He had Craig Sibbald in his list one year as well am sure and left out Januzaj :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

I'd like to see us sign him up * looking at this club I'd like to propose a working club relationship could be good for both clubs especially the younger players in do a swap for a season give a youth player chance to play abroad even.if it's in reserve tea would be good experience
