Tijuana is a club for retiring decent players.

Jurgen Klinsmann says he's got good vision and good passing ability, but he has a few weaknesses defensively. At 6ft that's something that can be worked on, so on a free transfer it looks like a good deal.

    It's a no-brainer if he's on a free.

Aye Vert, his contract runs out the 'morra. I think it's a good deal and he could be in as soon as the window opens.

If he's free then we'd be mad to pass it up, it's just about whether or not he wants to come here and if his wage demands are acceptable.

Is he even any good? Better than what we've got?

Good going forward not so great at defending. * knows if we're in the "mix" but from what i read the deal to the team in the US fell through because of wage demands from his da'.

I'm a Yank, and I watch pretty much all of the USMNT games. Earlier in his career, I felt like Mix was talented but inconsistent--he could be a nonfactor for 80 minutes of a game, and then slice open a back line with a killer pass out of nowhere. In the last year or two, though, he's beginning to look dangerous all of the time. He's a quick-thinker, and a great passer. He's also got a good engine, but he isn't a speed merchant, and it wouldn't hurt him if he got a bit stronger. He's played really well in that no. 10 role. I was disappointed when Klinsmann left him on the bench for the World Cup; he could have provided the sort of creativity that our national team needed. I think he could be great for Celtic. Unfortunately, the latest developments don't seem to have anything concrete linking him to us.

Sign him up. Not much of a risk if he's available for nothing.

    Seems to be quite rated.

Cheers for the info mate, sounds decent. Do you think he's good enough to be the creative player we are desperately missing?

A few Norwegians on twitter said he is like a right footed more attacking version of Johansen.

I like him and am usually impressed with his play in the national team. He usually comes off the bench though and as someone posted before, I wonder if there is a serious weakness to his game that Klinsman sees. For a cheap price though, I think he is definitely worth a shout.

Actually sums him up pretty well. I think he would be great playing just in front of Johansen and Brown.

I think so. He was on the verge of being that guy for the USMNT. He's more of a playmaker than Johansen, but Stefan has an insane motor. In my opinion, there would be room for both of them in the lineup. Klinsmann should have played him in the no. 10 role, with Michael Bradley as more of a deep-lying midfielder. I think he's a guy who would shine in Europe; has that ability to unlock a defense. On a free, it would be a low-risk, high-reward signing.

I saw on /r/MLS that people think Celtic is a downgrade and MLS is a better option:smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:
