Listening to the manager and Lawwell at the press conference, it definitely came across that the priority would be to bring players through the Academy, and Lawwell also mentioned buying cheaper options and turning them into CL standard players.

Just as normal then by the sounds of it.

Don't see why we shouldn't have a decent amount of money available for transfers. CL groups more often than not over the past 10 years. Huge transfer fees for several of our players. 40k season ticket holders for past decade. We should have money available

I think our running of the club has been right mate, only thing missing at times was exciting fitba.

Hopefully Deiler is the man to bring the style to compliment the substance :50:

Don't think you should read too much into his comments. Pretty sure it will be a mixture of buying and developing.

Sometimes he will need to buy to have the basic ingredients to build on. I actually given time think he might actually take us on in Europe.

I would say Celtic have plenty of money to spend but they chose not to spend it.

I would expect him to make a few signings. The squad still needs more depth especially since Sammy is gone and Kayal also looks likely to leave. I also think Big Fraser will be off soon, but expect Virgil to stay for another season.

I expect him to get a decent chunk of the cash we get from Fraser. So maybe around 6-8million, similar to previous Celtic managers

I think we need a couple of fresh faces to be brought in to help us out a bit. If he wants to play a 4-3-3 then maybe another winger should be bought.

Just because he has came from Norway doesn't necessarily mean he will turn to the norwegian or scandinavian market straight away either. Fully expect him and John Park and co to have a good look all across the globe, just like we have been doing the past few years. No doubt try and maybe pick a player or two from the lesser fancied sides at the world cup even just like Lenny did.

Also, just because he still needs to meet with the players and evaluate the squad a bit does not mean he will not want to bring in a couple that he has chosen himself pretty quickly. He will still be looking to put his stamp on the side as soon as possible and bringing in some of his own signings will help do that. He will probably get a good idea pretty quickly of who he wants and who he doesn't.

there will be little money spent as the money from the gate will be down with no hearts or hibs in the league

It would be a major disappointment if we do not spend a bit, what I mean with a bit is 5 million before player sales. But I don't see it happening IMO we need to spend, need a left back to challenge Izzy some quick wide players and a centre forward.

That's my wish list but I can't see us signing anyone till we get into the groups and that's a big if we get there.

If we sell Forster I want us to spend at least half of what we get from his sale.

Aye cause they brought such a challenge last season.

I'm far more interested with the games against Aberdeen, Dundee Utd and St Johnstone again this season.

The squad is in good shape. Not expecting much transfer business this summer. I want to see the young lads breaking thru this year.

If we can bring in Andy Robertson and some other young prospects (either signing them or bringing them through our own youth system) I'd be happy. The priority should be keeping hold of our key players - if Fraser Forster and Virgil van Dijk are kept at the club, I'd call the transfer window a success.
