A monkey could take charge of Celtic with the resources we have over other teams in
this league , but we struggle in most games because we don't splash out and bring in
a manager with proven experience, R.D.is ok but is still a rooky at managing a team like Celtic, bring in Moyes and see the difference .

“I want to have a lot of the ball and control games, especially at home, and entertain the fans. I really want to create chances, score goals and the players have to love playing for Celtic. My task is to make sure the players really enjoy playing for Celtic and entertain our supporters." - Ronny Deila, June 7th 2014.

Last night was Deila's 111th game in charge, with a record of 71-21-19 and a mere 64% win rate. During that time we've witnessed the following:

-Failed to qualify for the UCL in consecutive seasons, as the seeded team in every round
-This included losing 6-1 on aggregate to Legia Warsaw before an administrative reprieve
-This included losing 1-0 at Parkhead to NK Maribor, in spite of a good away result
-This included losing 4-3 on aggregate to Malmo, despite going 2-0 up at Parkhead
-Lost consecutive games to a 6th placed Norwegian team
-Lost and was tactically outwitted in 5/6 games to fellow Norwegian managers
-Overseen Celtic being eliminated from the Europa League with a game to spare
-This was first time we've never won a game in a European group campaign
-Overseen Celtic concede 40 goals in 26 European games; none being in the UCL proper
-Overseen Celtic go 11 consecutive Europa League games without winning
-Overseen Celtic win 4/22 European games, outwith Icelandic part-timers

After our 4th 0-0 draw in the league, and us now being just 5 points ahead of Aberdeen with 6 games remaining, here are some observations I've made about Ronny's 22 months at the club:

-Deila claimed that after a year, we would have fully adapted to his methods
-Deila talked (post-Malmo) about our players experiencing fear, yet that fear remains
-Deila claimed we would be high pressing but despite last year's signs, that's disappeared
-Deila has made 22 signings: Gordon & Denayer = only unqualified successes
-Deila's main defensive recruit last summer, Boyata, has been a complete failure
-Deila signed Ciftci & Kazim-Richards - disreputable duds - and an over-the-hill Carlton Cole

He is tactically inept. We deploy full backs high up, without any cover for our centre backs from our 'holding midfielders'. Opposing teams all target Boyata which either leads to an error or him launching it towards a 5 ft 7 striker.

We are unable to defend corners or set pieces without panic. Deila's selections are also bizarre in their inconsistency. He finally dropped Armstrong to give Allan his first league start, who subsequently did alright, then immediately reinstated Armstrong and continued to play him in a position he's unable to play. This exemplifies why we've had a different starting line-up in practically every game this season.

Despite his reputation for developing players, aside from introducing Tierney and unlocking Griffiths' full potential, he has oversaw the regression of players like Lustig, Bitton, Johansen and Forrest to varying degrees.

He subs the wrong players at the right time and the right players at the wrong time. This is a trend going back from the start, with Johansen usually being the poor performer kept on the park.

Now the above could be excused 1 month, maybe even 6 months into a new job. After all Ronny came from Norway and merited some leeway. But what you see on the park is not Lennon's Celtic or Lawwell's Celtic but Deila's Celtic. Lennon's famous post-Ross County tirade, re being sick of projects, sure rings true now.

I have to give the board some credit though, their propaganda of how 'developing a team of Scottish players will take time' fooled enough people. Some have even tried to argue that the Champions League is oh-so-primitive, so we best stick with the egalitarian Europa League away from the corporate clutches :56:

Still Mark Warburton said something in the Daily Ranger, let's dissect it for 10 pages and then talk about how irrelevant Sevco are :bbpd:

With so few games remaining, we are stuck with this imposter. Lawwell decided it would be "uncouth" to sack a Celtic manager when we're top and have a semi final on the horizon. So we better hope Aberdeen bottle it again because otherwise we are in deep *.

People like the idea of Deila, rather than the reality of Deila. Let's hope this reality comes to an end very * soon indeed.

Perhaps not now because everyone can see the writing on the wall but at one time if you told the truth you were green lit. You know it's true. People who tell the truth about Deila and the policy are often ganged up on by a group of posters.

Also calling me negative is part of this as well. I am not negative. I want to see us do things properly. Hire the right manager, sign the right players, etc. It's not my fault that I quickly identified and watched the slowest ever car crash while others participated in a game of the emperors new clothes.

Not sure how I feel about that. I would rather have Neil Lennon back if Ronny Deila is getting the big E.

Would have Moyes before Lennon every day of the week.

There's a reason why Sir Fuwious hand-picked him as his successor, and there's a reason why Neil ended up at Bolton....

Moyes wasn't Man U or Ferguson's first choice. He got it, partially due to others being unavailable at the time.

He left because of very little backing and took a job with * all....zero.....zip....backing....lol.

Is it not time to admit he left because of many factors and the board was only a small part of it and not the main reason.

No. Because to admit that would be to admit to a lie. Lennon saw the way the club was heading and walked before he started getting the blame for it. I don't blame him for that. Everything that has happened since he walked out the door at Parkhead has shown that he was right in his judgement.

Bolton was the wrong job for him, I will agree with you on that.
