Really seems out of his depth so far. His worst decision has been how he has idiotically stuck to his favored 4-2-3-1 formation despite the fact that it doesn't suit our players. Good managers should be tactically flexible and able to play with the players they have. Over time I would expect him to get different players in but right now we needed him to win with the squad he has. When griffiths came on I got a bit excited and thought we might finally be going for the game and trying to score some goals with two up top. I'd forgotten that deila was our manager though. It was like a punch to the gut when he lined up on the wing where he is totally wasted.

Give him a chance. He has had to assess a full squad which he would have been unfamiliar with apart from maybe Johansen. We have lost some key players in the last few months and no doubt a couple more will leave in this window. And the only player we have brought in is a guy on loan. Hopefully he will have some money to spend on guys he believes would suit the system that he wants to play before the window shuts.

Out of his depth a good league start is massive any early slip ups and the screw will start to turn

I lay next to no blame at all at his feet. The board have tore a good squad apart piece by piece in order to stockpile cash. He has been thrown into a gun fight with 1 arm and no eyes.

He needs backing big time from board, players and us.

He's just in the door told this is your team, make it work.. Hopefully he ships out the * and brings in a few decent players pronto.

No eyes is clear to see. Can't notice when a midfield is being overrun or if a striker is a winger or not.

Any chance strachan will leave scotland job and save us? Naw..? didnt think so :54: i can honestly see this being the tightest title race between us and aberdeen in recent history. Our shitness will have them believing they can do it.

    Exactly.

Honestly hard to choose who out the first team deserves to be kept in. Probably Lustig, Izzy and Johansen at the moment. As for everyone else, we need big changes.

The Norwegians @NorwayStats · 17m Celtic fans: I know you're in pain right now, but give Deila time to make it work. His football is beautiful. He just needs time to adapt.

His tactics were poor, but it seems like he is fitting square pegs in round holes. He isn't solely to blame. The board can't expect him to play his style with no backing. Similarly, the players must be willing to adapt and play for him.

He needs players. Depressing times, as it seems we will be losing our better players, rather than improving the team.

Just like Stokes is incapable of seeing the goalposts in European games, as never puts the * ball between them.

I don't blame him, even if his tactics last week were a little bizarre. The players he has at his disposal simply aren't good enough. When he joined there was a poll asking what our expectations of him were for this season. I voted for the Europa League as I thought the CL was asking for too much and I seem to remember others doing the same.

This gives us a chance to get rid of all the dead weight that we carry, and allow Ronny to build his team. Buy in young players with potential and let him do what he did in Norway. Use the Europa League (if we have the fortune of qualifying) to give those younger guys experience and give him a season to implement HIS style of play with HIS players. Then we can take another run at the CL next year.

This isn't the end of the world. Give the poor guy a little support instead of calling for his head and making his job infinitely more difficult. Blame the board if you have to for leaving him with the sub standard squad that we have now.

He needs time, he has a very, very average team to work with. The team needs serious investment.

Doesn't have the alternatives? Surely you're joking?

You think that there was no alternative but to play Griffiths on the wing? When we had a midfielder whose played on the wing all his career, outwith last season, up front?

Or when you only play two men in the middle of the pitch when you also have one of your best midfielders on the wing? Or one of the most combatitive central midfielders on the bench?

Or maybe playing a striker up front by himself who has proven time and time again he is not a lone striker?

Deciding to shake up the back 4 during the game was a * masterpiece as well.

The boards not helped him, I agree. I also agree he's been thrown into the deep end here, however you cannot try and argue he has been tactically spot on over the course of these two games.

He hasn't came anywhere near it.
