Its a whole new squad most of these players did not play in the shaktar away game last time, and i think this new line up have the belief they can win away from home and will not be thinking about the so called 'jynx' .

It is not totally out of the question that the team v caly thistle may play. Apparently, like spartak, they are great in attack but weak in defence. Its hard to tell what to do. Still think its likely that hartley will come in either for McGeady or for one of the strikers.

Alexx I have three questions:

1:would I be right in saying that Shakhtar only spent big this summer to replace their outgoing stars like Elano,Marica,and Matuzalem so they havn't improved as much as it would look to fans that didn't know this?

2:Wasn't there some big disagreement over Matuzalems transfer to Zaragoza?If there was could you tell us about it?

3:What will the temperature be at match time in degrees Celsius?

spot on, if we have hartley play in the middle behind brown and donati, we will control the midfield and also allow the midfield to jump into the rush we have a very skilled midfield that i believe would benefit from having someone to cover for them when attacking.

 

Celtic nut i'll also answer if u dont mind. 1. Among the 3 players u named only Matuzalem was a key player for them, ironically brazilian international Elano was never a 1st squad player and came on substitutes at best, Marica played poorly during last season and they replaced him well by young star Gladky who scores practically in every match plus Lucarelli so attack strengthened for sure

 

2. Losing Matuzalem was a major blow for them. He had 5 year contract and still had 2 years till expiry when he just left and signed a new contract with Zaragoza. His agents found a chapter in FIFA rules saying if a player is under 25 when signing a contract he can stop it after 3 years. FIFA is still to make a decision about compensation, fine or smth. So Castillo is a direct replacement

 

They signed couple brazilians for midfield but hard to say what they are like, Ilsinho seems a decent player though 3. It will be around +12 i think since kick off is 21.45 local time and its +17 during the day P.S Sorry for putting it in 3 posts - was accessing internet via mob phone

 

regardless of score tonight the best result for celtic will be if milan and benfica have a no scoring draw.

The weather could have been a lot worse.12 degrees is roughly the temperature when Celtic play in Scotland aswell.
Was Elano really picked for all those Brazil freindlies plus the Copa America even though he couldn't get a game for Shakhtar?And will Shakhtar fit Gladky,Lucarelli,and Castillo into the same team.?
Also in your opinion who is the better side,Spartak Moscow or Shakhtar Donetsk?

oh i just went outdoors and its hot! i fully expect +16 tonight now..the main reason Elano left was he randomly appeared to be in starting 11, for me its a puzzle why he was regularly called for Brazil, played just several good matches for Shakhtar. And yes those 3 could fit together if Castillo is fit after returning from Mexico. Fernandinho started as a playmaker in all recent matches

 

i just read that Shakhtar's captain Dmytro Chygrynskiy is suspended, Dnipro, if possible could u give us ur insight on how important a player he is or is not for Shakhtar and whether he is a good player

 

on my personal opinion Shakhtar. are more physical than Spartak who rely only on short passing and dont like to get involved in physical contact...at the same time Shakhtar players are never less skilled in terms of controlling the ball, both teams have similarly weak defence though...averall i consider Shakhtar a better side
