Very straightforward victory in all honesty.

Had him to win at 7/4. :50:

Djokovic is cracking under the pressure of completing the full sweep of Grand Slams. Clearly.

A cakewalk for Murray, one of the most easiest routes to a final I think I have ever seen tbh. Djokovic has not looked right all week, It was inevitable he was going to be beaten by Murray at one point, especially after the two top level games against Nadal and Nishikori.

Which is pretty much what Murray does in every other tournament when not in control.

There's a subtle difference. Murray doesn't play the holier than though act that the 'uber professional' Djokovic does.

    He's a sleekit *.

Well done Andy Murray. He apparently (i havent looked throught the results or followed it)got an easy route to the final, but any victory over Djok, particularly in a top final, is to be savoured.

That all said, i think Murray is proving gradually that he is a real potential winner of the French now. He seems to be getting better and better on clay in recent years.

Maybe this being a Dad has made him more inwardly content and given him a boost.

Fair play to Murray, he deserved his win yesterday by all accounts. He has improved on clay over the last two years, there's no doubt about that.

Losing that match could actually be a good thing for Novak as far as the French Open goes. It's good to get a little wake up call now and again and I'm sure losing in Rome will have got his attention. If he crosses paths with Murray again at Roland Garros I'm pretty confident the outcome will be different.

Federer withdraws from the French Open with a back injury I think he's coming to his final year now tbh at 34 and injuries slowly creeping into his career

Yes Federer's brilliant career is coming to an end,and if he retires at the end of the season, not only will be one of the greatest ever, but retire still as a fantastic player.
And Murray,i think he is going to win the French Open and Wimbledon back to bacl,he is coming back into form and supreme fitness just at the right time.

I hope you are right, but thats a big shout!:smiley-laughing002:

Yes, off the top of my head i cant remember Federer having an injury throughout his career, so to have a back injury now at 34, could be significant.

It's about time Federer had to pull out a Slam! His lack of injuries compared to other players has been incredible. He was never in the running for it anyway.

Another Slam for Djokovic I think.

Back-injury ruined most of 2013 for him. And he has played with back problems (but in control) his whole career. It almost ruined a few of his slam runs, but he got trough it. One example is Wimbledon 2003 when Federer almost pulled out because of back pains.

Wawrinka might be in trouble here.

Sure is. Rosol is playing like he did against Nadal at Wimbledon a few years ago.

My pre tournament double was Simona Halep/Stan Wawrinka so hopefully Stan can pull through here.

Stan fighting back like a champion here. A break up in the fifth set.

Stepanek is a bit like a Murray lite.

Can't see him taking 3 sets off Andy though, too old and this concerted pressure won't last.
